NEET Exam Pattern 2025

As per the previous year's trends, it is expected that the NEET 2025 exam pattern might remain unchanged. Therefore, there are chances that the NEET 2025 exam pattern is similar to that of last year's NEET exam pattern. As per the information bulletin published at neet.ntaonline.in, there are four subjects in the NEET UG 2025 exam pattern; namely Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. Each subject will have two sections; Section A and Section B. There will be 35 questions in Section A and 15 questions in Section B. Out of these 15, candidates have the option to answer any 10 questions. Therefore, both the total number of questions and the amount of time used will stay the same as the previous year. The NEET UG 2024 Result has been announced on June 4, 2024. 

The NEET UG 2025 exam is expected to be conducted on May 4, 2025. The medium for the NEET UG 2025 Exam is offered in 13 additional regional language options including Hindi, English, Bengali, Malayalam, Gujarati, Assamese, Kannada, Odia, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Urdu, or Punjabi. The NEET Exam Pattern 2025 states that the test will take place in offline mode, using pen and paper, and its time duration will be 3 hours and 20 minutes. There will be 200 objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs), out of which 180 must be attempted. The total score of the NEET UG 2025 Exam is 720. For every correct response, 4 marks are allotted; for an incorrect response, 1 mark is deducted; and for no response, no marks are deducted.

Changes in NEET 2025 Exam Mode

As of now, the NEET exam is conducted in an offline mode in a pen-and-paper format. However, due to the large-scale NEET paper leak controversy and widespread protest by the students, chances of conducting NEET 2024 in an online mode have increased. The government and NTA (the NEET exam conducting body) have been consistently looking for a viable option to avoid any malpractices.
