Mining engineering is a discipline of engineering and is considered to be one of oldest form of engineering. It is a type of engineering that involves both science and technology to extract minerals from under the earth. Many other disciplines like geology, geotechnical engineering, mineral processing and metallurgy and surveying are also associated with mining engineering. Mining engineering colleges in India provide students with facilities to learn and exercise techniques and process of mining.
