JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2025

JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) will release the JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2025 on the official website: jeeadv.ac.in. The JEE Advanced exam pattern will comprise details like the marking scheme, types of questions, durations of the exam, total marks, etc. However, based on the previous year's JEE Advanced exam pattern, the exam will be conducted for a total of 306 marks. The JEE Advanced exam will comprise two papers; each paper will be of 183 marks, and each paper will comprise three sections. Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, which will hold a total of 61 marks per section. The IIT Kanpur has announced the exam date for the JEE Advanced 2025 on the official website. The JEE Advanced 2025 exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 18, 2025, in two shifts: The first shift will be conducted for Paper 1 from 9 am to 12 noon, whereas Paper 2 will be conducted for the second shift from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

As per the JEE Advanced marking scheme 2025, for 4 questions of 12 marks, you get +3 for choosing the correct option, 0 for not answering, and -1 for all other cases. For 3 questions of 12 marks, you get +4 for all correct options, +3 for three correct options, +2 for two correct options, +1 for one correct option, 0 for not answering, and -2 for all other cases. And for 6 questions of 24 marks, you get +4 for the correct answer and 0 if you make no attempts. The exam has a concept of full, partial, and zero marks.

  • Candidates will be notified about negative markings (if any) at the time of the test in the JEE Advanced 2025 guidelines.

The general instructions for the computer based test of JEE Advanced exam is mentioned below.

  • Students must use the password that has been assigned to them to log in to the exam.
  • To begin the exam, candidates must first log in and then click the "proceed" and "Start" buttons.
