About Post Matric Scholarship for Minorities

The Post Matric Scholarship for Minorities offered by the Ministry of Minority Affairs is meant for individuals pursuing their course from a recognized educational institution in India be it a government or private school. This includes residential government institutes and some other private institutes selected and notified transparently by the State Government and Union Territory Administration concerned. 

It is also important to note that the scholarships will be awarded to students who have secured not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination and the annual income of their parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed INR 2 lakh.

The Post Matric Scholarship for Minorities is given to students attending public or private higher education institutions, including residential government institutions and qualifying private institutions chosen and announced by the State/Union Territory administration.

These scholarships will be given for classes in classes XII and XI of polytechnics and other courses at industrial training centers or institutions connected to the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). However, it must be noted that a course lasting shorter than a year is not covered by any of these scholarships.
