The erstwhile Kerala Technological University (KTU), now known as APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University was founded on May 2014 in the south Indian state of Kerala with the objective of providing quality education & leadership to engineering and technological education in Kerala. Headquartered in Thiruvanathapuram, APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University was set up to serve as a teaching institute as well as an affiliation university with key thrust areas around research, development & innovation. The main focus of the university is improve the academic standards of UG, PG and research programmes in technology, engineering science and management and regulate the academic standards of all technological colleges affiliated to the university.

The campus of this college is very beautiful. This is easily reachable place because this is nearby metro station and bus station. The faculties hostel and placements are also nice here.

This University is a decent college. It is just kind of okay to be in the college because of certain reasons like low placement rates (as much as I have seen)and the faculties are not top-notch.
