Central University of Kerala came into existence in 2009 under the Central Universities Act 2009 (Parliament Act No. 25 of 2009). Approved by UGC and graded A by NAAC, the university has also been ranked fifth in the academic and research excellence category and first among the south Indian states. Central University of Kerala admissions are based on entrance exams and interviews. For UG and PG courses, candidates must have a CUET score.
