Overall: everything is goodd books are diliverd on time but when its come to exams i have to check everything by my own there was no notification from my collage
Placement: i think if you have capablity to proove your self then there are so many placements you can earn nice money ignou gives you oportunity to find a gud and suitable job
Infrastructure: I got all my course information on the website. All the study material was also available from there, along with this, other information was also easily available from the website.
Hostel: rooms are fine and perfect for students i can say hostal facilities are good. according to me hostal facility is very good . Full care is taken of security here. The rooms are bright and airy
Overall: The Institute barely contacts the scholars for any updates and when asked something they take ages to respond. The communication and the message conveying REALLY need some work. Also the quality of their books is extremely poor.
Placement: Placements here are hardly paying you anything. The placements are very bad. I mean many of my friends are hardly getting paid a penny after a 4-year degree
Infrastructure: Its just acceptable I’d say. The building hasn’t had renovation or paint for at least over a decade. The classrooms are very old and in very poor condition.
Faculty: The faculties are comparatively better than the infrastructure and hostels. But there are some, who don’t even bother settling the pupil’s doubts. They just care about themselves.
Overall: I am a pass out from IGNOU and I did my Diploma in Dairy Technology from the university. I was working and could not leave my job due to my financial situation. Thus, IGNOU was a good option for me due to the flexible and open learning it offers. Study resources were sent to me by post at regular intervals since I had opted for that medium. You can also choose to access the study material on digital platforms like the E-Gyankosh app or the IGNOU E-Content app. The academic counsellors are available to answer your queries, but they also act ignorantly at times. There are more than 35,000 academic counsellors at IGNOU, so they are varied in terms of their counselling.
Placement: IGNOU does provide placement assistance, however, it is not at par with many other regular universities and colleges. The average CTC is usually around Rs 3 lakh or Rs 4 lakh per annnum only. If you are aiming for high placement packages after the completion of the course, then IGNOU might not cater the best to your expectations.
Infrastructure: Since the Distance Learning model is followed at the university, there is no central campus. There are regional centres which have basic infrastructural facilities like a sofa, a computer access room, a small library, etc. In my opinion, if there would have been a central campus, then it would be easier for the students and teachers to coordinate the monthly or quarterly on-campus sessions.
Faculty: There are around 800 faculty members that take virtual classes of students. There are also around 60 regional centres across the country. The regional centres are basically the help centres which are used for various academic purpose at IGNOU. Some of my teachers were very helpful and they made sincere efforts to make sure that we clarify all our doubts in the doubt classes.
