UniPune admissions are offered in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The university offers merit based and entrance based admission in 12 courses. The university conducts Online Entrance Examination (OEE) for admission in BTech, BVoc and majority of PG courses. At the PG level, SPPU admissions in MBA courses are based on MAH MBA CET and MCA admissions are based on MAH MCA CET. As per the admission process, candidates need to participate in counselling conducted by DTE, Maharashtra for MBA and MCA admission.

Savitribai Phule Pune University offers merit based admission in BBA course. The application form of the university can be filled via online mode. SPPU application fee is Rs 600 (general) and Rs 400 (reserved category). During admission, the university offers various merit/need based scholarships to students.
