Academy of Technology B.Tech. in Information Technology - Fees, Eligibility, Seats and Admission 2024

Overall: The college is decent and provides with good placements. The faculty is strict but that is alright. It's just that there's no actual college experience.

Placement: The average package for it sector is about 5.5 lakhs per annum. The placement rate is high about 90% for all the branches. Assistance from the placement cell is provided.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is modern and is put to very good use for the students.Yes it could be even better but it is decent given the low fees. It's almost perfect.

Faculty: The faculty as I mentioned are extremely strict. But also they are well qualified. They help us whenever we need them without any hesitation. They are nice.

Hostel: The hostels are very good,clean and tidy. They are cleaned regularly. Gives a very home like feeling. But the rules are strict. Also NP ragging is allowed.

Overall: Academy of Technology is one of the best tire 3 College in west bengal. It is a self finance Engineering college. It is very well known College. College provides placements opportunities for their student.

Placement: Academy OF Technology provides placements opportunities for their student. They allow student for their skill.In this college many well known company visit every year and select many student. 80℅ student got placements opportunities in this college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure in this college is very good. IT has a small lake behind The College. It is a ecofriendly Campus that is green Campus. It has 4 buildings and 2 Hostel. A big playground bedside the college.

Faculty: In this college many faculty members.And the teach us friendly. They guide us .They are well educated form top government institutes or universities like Jadavpur university, kolkata universities etc.

Hostel: In this college there are 2 Hostel are their one boys hostel and one girl Hostel. Hostel food quality is good to go .And all the staff and scrutiny in the Hostel is very helpful.

Overall: Overall the college is satisfactory. Average students from CSE branch can get placement easily. A lots of good companies like TCS, Cognizant, Persistent ,Trianz, Wipro etc visit each year. TCS, cognizant are mass recruiter of our college.

Placement: Placement cell Academy of Technology is very active. They work hard for every student of the college to get placed. More than 15 complanies visit each year. Maximum package is 10 lpa and minimum package is 3.5 lpa. Average package is 4.5 lpa in this college.

Infrastructure: Campus size is small but the infrastructure is really beautiful. There is a pond in the middle of campus, which is real beauty of this college. Boys Hostel and girls hostel also there in the campus. There are total of four buildings with two auditorium halls are established in this college.

Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful. You can get a lots of help in your studies and placement from faculty. They guide you for your each doubt. In classroom, you can ask as much questions as you can. Even you can contact any teacher by there phone number or in staff room for any help.

Hostel: Hostal is significantly costly if you compare with outsiders. Hostal fee with the fooding is Rs.7000. But if you live with a rented room and any monthly room, you can easily spent your whole only in rupee 3500(except your pocket money). Food quantity of college hostal is worse than outsiders mess.

Overall: I suggest you choose AOT as your college if you can make over 75% attendance throughout your every semester. The college attendance discipline is too strict to follow. Many of my friends are rejected to sit in the exams due to attendance issues. This is the only bad point of AOT. Otherwise, the college is good. It provides many streams such as CSE, CSBS, ECE, EE, EEE, and ME. I am in my 3rd year and from the Computer Science and Business Systems department. It is almost similar to CSE but some advance business papers exist in this stream. If you secured a rank of 20000 you can choose CSBS in AOT. You need to appear in the WBJEE or JEE MAINS to get admitted in this college. Please don't go for direct admission otherwise you have to bear with a huge amount of donation money. The total cost to complete B.Tech is almost 4lakhs. One annual fest happens in AOT every year. The ticket price in Arcadia is almost 2k/head. I can bet that you will not be disappointed if you come to AOT but you have to bear with the attendance criteria and the other exams like CA,PCA which helds almost frequently.

Placement: We all know that after covid situation recession is going in every field and the engineering field is also there. Even in the government colleges are having fewer placements nowadays. But there are some MNCs that come to AOT to grab some talented students every year from each department. Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Persistant, Tech mahindra, KPIT, Trianz and some small startups also come to our college every year to recruit freshers. If you have 7 or more than 7 CGPA you can sit in the exams. But after getting at least 1 offer letter you can not sit in the other placement exams. So this thing you have to take in your mind. Otherwise placement record in our college is not so bad. Average 3LPA packages are given and Highest packages are 8-9LPA which are mostly given by TCS Prime.

Infrastructure: I can say the AOT has one of the biggest and most beautiful campuses in Kolkata. It has 4 separated buildings for each department. 1st year building is totally separated from the others to keep the college campus ragging-free. There is a huge canteen with almost 200+ capacity and a basketball court in front of it. It has a big football ground and a volleyball ground inside the campus. 2 separated hostels are there one for boys and one for girls. No one can go outside the hostel after 7 PM, so it's a criteria which you have to note if you want to stay as hosteller. The labs are well advanced with all type of machines and instruments needed. Wifi is available inside the campus but not for students. Computers are operated in the labs through the wired connection. There are two auditoriums one is with AC and almost 300 capacity and one is mini non AC auditorium with almost 150 capacity. The classrooms are big and airy but in summer the upper floor classes are too much hot.

Hostel: There are two separated hostels in AOT. One is for boys and one is for girls. Fees are almost 5k-6k per month and the food quality is also not good. Only two times in a day the food is given one is lunch and one is dinner. There is restriction that no one can go outside the hostel after 7 PM. From my point of view mess or pgs are way better to stay in the hostels. You can live freely outside and can enjoy your collegelife. There are many messes and pgs near by the college. And the rent is within 3k with food and within 1.5 k without food so you can choose and stay anywhere. Zomato and swiggy delivery also available so there will be no problem with fooding.

Placement: Placement is quite good approx all students get placed from this college of every branch so you don't need to take tense about placement if you are joining this college.

Infrastructure: In this college only one thing is good that is infrastructure.There are many fields in college. U can play cricket football and many games in field .

Hostel: As I am not in hostel so I don't know about hostel but my many friends is in hostel so according to them hostel are pretty good and the food is also good.

Overall: The college premise is nice authority is a bit strict compare to othe colleges but over all good college for student and placements are also not bad .

Placement: Placements are quite okay for cse and csbs students mainly but for core departments the placements is average but afterll al the students have been placed in various companies

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is verry good .... there are 4 buildings and a admin building building for official purposes there is a weel decorated pond in the middle of the college

Faculty: Facalty members are quite good in my department and are helful towards you.the members are taking classes at regular basis without any hesitations and teaching you good

Hostel: I didn't stay in hostel so i can not say properly what is in the hostel ...but according to some friends the hostel is quite good for both boys and girls

Overall: Good infrastructure and also very much good faculty are there. Great opportunities are available. The college placement cell is quite good. Freindly environment.

Placement: Placement of Aot college is quite good . For all the streams pre Placement classes are held in college as training sessions. For all the streams CSE, ECE, CSBS, EE, ME, EEE opportunities are there.

Infrastructure: Verymuch good infrastructure. There is different sports activities available. Basketball practice is done. Volleyball practice is also done there and also badminton .A pool is also there. Good environment.

Faculty: All the faculty members are very good. They are very freindly .They helps out the student in every manner. All total the faculty is very much good. Placement session is also done.

Hostel: Both girls hostel and boys hostel is good. Both the hostels are situated in college campus . The environment is good.The hostel food is also good. Sports activities are done there.

Overall: Academy of Technology os one the top rated private engineering college in West Bengal. It's well known for it's quality of education and placement records. It has a great infrastructure and a well being faculty system with multiple facilities. The college is one of the dream private college for students.

Placement: In this college, 90 percent of students were placed in the CSE department. The highest package is 7 LPA and the lowest is 3.5 LPA on campus, and off-campus, the highest is 45 LPA and the lowest is 12.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, Mahindra Tech, Wipro, etc. 90 percent of students got internships; we can apply on and off campus for internships in companies like TCS, Cognizant.

Infrastructure: The college is built with good infrastructure. There are computer labs, Wi-Fi, an auditorium, a library, a canteen, and well-maintained classrooms. The college also provides hostels for both boys and girls; the food there in the hostel is also good. Every year, a fest is organized for hostel students in which games, sports, and dances are organized. A canteen is also available in this college, and the food here is also good.

Faculty: Teachers here in this college are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is also good here. Yes, this college makes the students industry-ready. As this is a MAKAUT affiliated college, the semester exams are of moderate type. The passing percentage is 95 percent in semesters.

Hostel: College provide hostels separately both for boys and girls. Seats are limited for students. Hostels are secured with security guard and under CCTV surveillance. A feast organised with hostel candidates every year.

Placement: as a told you placement is 70% better than other private collages .here average packege is 3.7 to 3.8 L which is good enough and percentage is nearly 85 to 90 but remember if you dont study you will not get it . according to me attending the class is main cause 75% attendance is must here for exam placement and everything thank you.

Infrastructure: this buildings are very big and the total area is big enough for a engineering collage .and the collage is clean you can see your face in the stair.yooo bro not joking.... engineering collage (private yaar!!)

Faculty: you know here are 2 from iit are teaching but i would say a non iit teacher is far better than a iit-n teacher.chemistry teacher is iit but if you get him privately you will kick him out from the collage

Hostel: my friends are saying that the hostel faculty is good but very expensive.budget problem myself also you can stay here nearby mess . and ragging ! forgret about it !

Overall: Overall I may consider my college to be one of the best engineering private college in west bengal , it has everything that a student need to prosper. It gives full mental and knowledge support to students.

Placement: One of the greatest parameters of a engineering college is about its placements. So this college has a good record in on campus placement in 2023 it exceeds 134% of campus placements. The job offered to many eligible students. Overall AOT gives a good enviromment for placements.

Infrastructure: Overall i can say that the infrastructure is very good . The campus is much spacious and open playgrounds are there. Apart from these the college library has plenty of books. Wheneever someone require any help from reference book he/she can borrow it from library. Then it comes to laboratory, Aot has each and every required labs for different subjects, it has a tcs ION building that have enough coputer approx 400-500 computers are there. Overall good atmosphere.

Faculty: Faculties in this college are very knowledgeable and most of then was research fellow from top universities in india as well as abroad. Every professors are very helpful , they supply enough notes of the lecture along with lecture plan. This help the students a lot.

Hostel: Though i am not a hosteler but from my fellow mates i came to know that , the hostel of college.Has every facility that a student required , it has a ragging free zone and free wifi to access , along with there is a gym for college students as well as hosteler.
