AFMC Academia & Batch Size

Founded as a postgraduate institution, the college has since expanded its offerings to include the MBBS and B.Sc Nursing programmes. At present, AFMC has 29 departments offering UG and PG AFMC courses in Medicine, Nursing, Dental, and Paramedical Sciences.

There is sufficient equipment in the labs, books in the library, adequate sports facilities and decent hostel facilities. Overall, AFMC provides a holistic and growth-oriented environment for its students. 

AFMC Internships and Placements 

AFMC is a premier government-run medical college that prepares students for healthcare services in the military. All the students are commissioned into the Indian Armed Forces as medical officers after passing MBBS. They can choose to serve in the Army, Navy, or Air Force for a specified duration. So, the AFMC placement rate is 100%! As a fresher, they receive around INR 80,000 - 90,000 salary per month, which is one of the highest in India. They also enjoy additional perks and career advancement opportunities.

Being managed by the Indian Armed Forces, AFMC has one of the best faculty and administration staff in India, without a doubt. There are a total of 352 permanent faculty members at the institute. The number of visiting faculty members is 13. So, undoubtedly, students receive a disciplined and supportive atmosphere to learn and grow.
