BMSCE admission will begin soon with the beginning of KCET counselling after the result declaration. KCET provisional answer key is out on April 29, 2024, and candidates can raise objections against the keys latest by May 7, 2024. Following that, the final answer key for KCET 2024 will be released by May 10, 2024, tentatively. KCET 2024 result will be announced on May 20, 2024.
BMSCE admission is done on the basis of entrance exam scores. There are various entrance exams accepted for admission to BMS College of Engineering. For BTech admission, KCET or COMEDK scores are accepted. For MBA admission, MAT/ CMAT/ KMAT scores are accepted. For MTech, GATE scores are accepted. Meanwhile, Karnataka PGCET score is also accepted for MBA/ MCA/ MTech admission.
AS PER THE KARNATAKA STATE GOVT. NOTIFICATION ED 43 TEC 2011 DATED 21-03-2011 THE ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO B.E./B.TECH. COURSES HAVE BEEN AMENDED FROM THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2011-12 AND ARE AS FOLLOWS:
The candidate shall have passed the second year Pre University or XII standard or equivalent examinations held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects:- Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology and has secured not less than fifty percent (50%) of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the language for admission to Engineering & Technology Courses.
Provided further that the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility shall be forty five percent (45%) of aggregate in optional subjects in case of candidates belonging to the ** Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes specified in the relevant Government order for the purpose of reservation in respect of Engineering and Technology courses.
Please Note: ** the relaxation in academic eligibility is extended only to Karnataka candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes.

The admission in the BMS College of Engineering begins in the month of January for admission in MBA and MCA courses. The application process for Undergraduate courses begin from the month of February. The application process for BMS College of Engineering can be done offline so the applicants will have to take a print out of the application form the official site. The candidates must submit the application form on or before the final date of submission.
Candidates can take admission in UG courses through COMEDK and the candidates can get admission in MCA and MBA courses basis KMAT score. If there is any more relaxation in academic eligibility then that will be given only to Karnataka students, belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes.
The application process of BMS College of Engineering is done offline. The candidates will have to first take out the print out of the application form and then fill it up. They will have to go to the college to submit the filled up application form. Candidates will have to submit the application form either on or before the last date of submission. The applicants will also have to pay the application fee and attach the attested copy of the GATE score, along with the caste certificate if at all any.
Candidates who wish to pursue M.Tech courses in the BMS College of Engineering must check the eligibility criteria prescribed by the exam conducting body. The BMS College of Engineering offers M.Tech courses and the candidate must have a valid GATE score or PGCET of Karnataka. The candidates must have completed their B.Tech or B.E courses with a qualifying score. They must have at least scored 50% marks in all the subjects and semesters respectively in Degree Examination.
GATE Scholarship:
A candidate must have a valid GATE score in order to Claim the GATE scholarship.
Candidates belonging to Sponsored Quota are not eligible for the BMS College of Engineering GATE Scholarship.
Candidates belonging to the reserved category which means the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class with a valid GATE score would not be entitled to get any scholarship.
The candidate who wishes to pursue M.Tech in the part-time course with a Valid GATE score would not be eligible to claim this scholarship.
Candidates must have completed their graduation from any recognised University. They must have completed a three-year degree course or any such equivalent examination with 50% marks. This 50% must comprise of all the subjects and language that has been pursued in the three years of Degree course.
Entrance Examination:
Candidates must have qualified in KMT, PGCET, CMAT, MAT. Any one of the following exams is mandatory.
Applicants of MCA in BMS College of Engineering must have qualified graduation from any recognised university with Statistics, Maths, Computer Application and Computer Science or Business Mathematics or Computer Programming or Business Statistics. The above-mentioned subjects must be one of the compulsory subjects. Candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in graduation.
Entrance Examination:
Applicants of BMS College of Engineering must know that they will either have to produce KMT score or PGCET score in order to apply for BMS MCA in College of Engineering.
Candidates are chosen on the basis of their marks in the entrance exams and their eligibility criteria or how much they satisfy the eligibility criteria. Candidates must be educationally qualified and must also age-wise eligible to appear for this examination. Basis the eligibility criteria of BMS College of Engineering and the scores of the entrance exams the candidates are chosen.
