Budge Budge Institute of Technology admission to BTech courses is done based on JEE Main/WBJEE scores through WBJEE counselling. Students who pass the WBJEE exam will move on to the WBJEE 2024 counselling process, which is set to begin in the last week of June 2024 (tentative) for Budge Budge Institute of Technology admission.
Every year, a number of students from West Bengal and its adjacent states apply for the BBIT admission process. Students must apply with a valid entrance exam score. The entrance exam varies from course to course. For example, the institute accepts JEE Main, WBJEE, or JELET (Lateral Entry) scores for admission to its B.Tech programmes. On the other hand, GATE or PGET is the entrance test for BBIT M.Tech admissions. BBIT Kolkata admission process for B.Tech starts as soon as the WBJEE cutoffs are released. The cutoffs will be released during the WBJEE 2024 counselling process which is expected to start in July 2024.
Budge Budge Institute of Technology accepts the following entrance exams: JEXPO (for Polytechnic admission), VOCLET (for Polytechnic admission), WBJEE (for B.Tech admission), JEE Main (for B.Tech admission), MAT (for MBA admission), CMAT (for MBA admission), JEMAT (for MBA admission), and JELET (for B.Tech admission via lateral entry).
For admission to the BBIT Kolkata M.Tech programme, students will have to score a minimum of 45% marks in the respective engineering stream from a recognised college. Students will also have to qualify for the GATE exam.
The eligibility criteria for the Polytechnic programme at BBIT Kolkata is to pass in class 10 exam from a recognised school board. Students must have achieved a minimum of 35% marks in Class 10 to be eligible for the Polytechnic course. After that, students will have to qualify for the JEXPO or VOCLET examination.
MBA is offered at BBIT Kolkata in the following specialisations: Business Analytics, Finance, Health Care, Human Resources, Marketing, operations, and Systems.
To get admission to BBIT Kolkata B.Tech programmes, students will have first to pass class 12 and then appear for the JEE Mains or WBJEE exams.
