The present day College has an infrastructure built on a sprawling campus covering an area of about 34 acres in Panbazar locality and about 6.4 acres in Rupnagar locality (second campus) of the city of Guwahati. The facilities include a modern library well stocked with books, journals as well as rare manuscripts and with UGC INFLIBNET-NLIST e-journal browsing facility; well equipped laboratories in different academic departments; a Central Instrumentation Centre; a full fledged Department of Computer Science & IT; a well equipped Centre for Mass Communication & Journalism (named as Dr Bhupen Hazarika Centre for Mass Communication & Journalism), a vibrant Placement Cell, a dynamic Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), a Foreign Language Programme Unit and a state of the art Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility (BIF) Center. In addition to these facilities, the College also has a hospital, a Career & Counseling Cell, a Peace Station, a Guest House, separate hostels for girls and boys, quarters for faculty and office staff, an Indoor Stadium with a modern gymnasium, a canteen, a coffee house and a State Bank of India ATM. All the Academic Departments, Centers and the College office are connected with round the clock internet connectivity. In the year 2003, an ‘Internal Quality Assurance Cell’ was established to look after the internal quality of the institution for continuous assessment of academic excellence.
The College has three Girls’ Hostels and seven Boys’ Hostels. These are all situated within and around the College campus. Hostel seats are allotted at the time of admission on the basis of merit. Conduct in the hostel is governed by the ‘Cotton College Hostel Rules’, copies of which are available in the College Office free of charge. Hostels remain closed during Summer and Puja Vacations. Students of both Under-Graduate and Post- Graduate classes are allowed to stay in the Hostel for one session only.
Cotton College has always believed in the all round development in young people. Whereas academic excellence is always a priority for all institutions of education, this college believes in providing ample scope for the development of other talents in young people. This is why it is always encouraged all student centric initiatives aimed at promoting extracurricular development in all Cottonians.
Founded on the 25th of November, 2013 by Mrinmoy Buragohain, then an undergraduate student in the department of Geology , the Cotton College Photography Club(CCPC) was started as a Facebook page to showcase artistic photographs taken by Cottonians. It organized its first exhibition, entitled Pixels and Paints, on the 29thMarch, 2014, in the T. AO Indoor Stadium. It was a resounding success and Pixels and Paints has since gone on to become an annual event. It subsequently went on to participate in ‘Metropolis’, an annual event sponsored by the department of Tourism, Govt .of Assam. CCPC is totally a student initiative and aims to provide a plateform for all Cottonians who are interested in Photography, the fine arts or even music.
NSS is functioning with a strength of 100 volunteers since 1982 in Cotton College.
Scouts and guides activity has been introduced in Cotton College form the session (2002-03) in the wake of state Government’s decision to make it compulsory for all educational institutions in the state. The Cotton College Ranger Team” is actively engaged in various community services.
Infrastructure: Cotton University has a rich campus life with numerous programs taking place every year starting with the Versity Week, MCB national level debate, state level entrepreneurship development program (Startup Manthan), Joint Venture, Inter Institution Quiz Competitions, AIIU Sports, Music and instrument nights, national level workshop on various topics etc. Other than this the institution also has a 24×7 opened central library with availability of 20000 books on various disciplines along with e-library that could be accessed from anywhere, the library is also installed with internet service for all; beside this all the departments also has their personal library as well where all the updated books, documents, journal are available to access. Cotton University has many active sports clubs, and taekwondo group which takes part in AIIU SPORTS every year. Other than this, the university also has Placement And Career Counselling Cell, Capacity Building Cell, Forum for Handicap, Queer, and tribes etc. There are eight hostel in total for where there are five hostels for boys and three hostels of girls, all the hostels are provided with 24×7 water supply, electricity and security personnel, every hostel has their personal kitchen, cafeteria, and cook who are selected through several interviews. Beside this all the hostels has strict timings for entry and exit; every year the hostel merit list are published for newly admitted students which are made students with good academic result as well as for those who cannot afford to pay huge rental fee. The registration are done by the authorities for both boys and girls. Cotton University is situated in the centre of the city which has access to all types of transport, therefore are huge availability of rented rooms and PG for both boys and girls where there monthly price ranges from 7000-8500 per month with basic facilities of 24×7 electricity, water supply and internet wifi services.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure was too great. The building was clean. According to the fees structure we students got a lot in this college. Loved the experience here.
Hostel: According to my experience the hostel was good but it could been a little more good. Overall the food was quite tasty but the decoram of the hostel was not maintained by the students
Infrastructure: The best thing of Cotton is how the faculties provides a quality education to the pupils, they make the students busy to learn many new things, they understand the real value of education.
Hostel: The hospitality of hostels of cotton university is very helpful . Students get a feeling of home in the hostels, anti ragging committees are also active with the Hostellers
Infrastructure: CU is well equipped with all kinds of stuffs needed for proper functioning of every department.Buildings , campus are developed in a modern way.Govt.of Assam is still improving the CU to provide world class facilities.
Infrastructure: One of the best university infrastructure is in the north-east may be found at quarter University. It provides a beautiful, peaceful environment with a lot of flora surrounding it. Everything including the restroom, auditorium and classrooms are expertly constructed to provide students with the greatest possible college experience.
Hostel: Hostels under Cotton , University at tidy and safe. With the greatest nourishment and security offered to both boys and girls. It’s simplifies and eliminates problems for students in their academic life.

Infrastructure: Some department buildings are old and need to be improved. Some Classrooms are old whereas some are in normal condition. It has laboratory and library too. The college also have an auditorium.
Hostel: The college have both boys hostel and girls hostel for the students. Hostels from the outside are not in very good condition though I don't know about the overall environment of the hostels
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure of Cotton College is eye-catching. Everyone seeing the college for the first time would be amazed at once. The college has got all the facilities,viz, toilet,proper laboratory, digital classroom and all. I just love the College.
Hostel: The Hostel facility of Cotton College is very comfortable and home like. They provide good accomodation facilities for a homely environment. The food provided is healthy and hygienic.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of these college is not up to the mark . Due to oldest college of these states. Building are not well in recent times . Due to located in the city its couse full of noise.
Hostel: The hostels of cotton college are more interesting part of college. The hostel are build 100+ years ago but still it is able to live their moments . The emotion of hostel never getting bored.
