Yes, the EMS College of Paramedical Sciences offers OT Technician courses for two years. The course also includes 6 months of dedicated training after course completion where students are taught about human anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures, medical terminology, infection control, sterilization techniques etc. Students also learn about surgery instruments handling, management of the operating room, assisting surgeons during operation procedures, and emergency response protocols. To be eligible for the program, students must have scored 50% marks in physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology from a recognized board.
Students must be a minimum age of 18 years or more to qualify for the course and a maximum of 35 years to get admission to the OT Technician course at EMS College of Paramedical Sciences. Further, students of Kerela origin will be eligible for admission to the EMS College of Paramedical Sciences OT Technician course. The EMS College of Paramedical Sciences OT Technician course fee is Rs. 2,39,000 lakhs but is subject to change every year. Therefore, after the completion of the course, students are even awarded a degree of completion by the college authorities and can work in various areas of the medical industry. After completion of the course, students can work as OT technicians, healthcare administrators, surgical technologists and so on.
