Eligibility Criteria for Optometry Courses after 12th

BOptom Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as main subjects and scored at least 50% marks.

BSc Optometry Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board with at least 50% marks in PCB/PCM/PCMB subjects.
  • Students appearing for Class 12 exams can also apply but must provide their Class 12th scores during the counselling process.

Eligibility Criteria for Diploma Courses in Optometry

  • Candidates must have completed Class 12 or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board in India.
  • They must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as main subjects and scored at least 45% to 50% marks.

Eligibility Criteria for Certificate Courses in Optometry

  • There are no specific eligibility criteria to pursue a certificate course in Optometry. A student must have completed class 12th in the Science stream to be eligible for the course. The minimum aggregate keeps changing from institute to institute.
