Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar is a public university established in 2003 under the Gujarat National Law University Act 2003. The university is recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and University Grants Commission (UGC). It is popularly known as GNLU Gandhinagar. The university is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) , International Association of Law Schools (IALS) , Asian Law Institute (ASLI) and Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute.
GNLU secured 8th spot in NIRF Ranking 2022 in the law category. The university offers a total of 11 courses at UG, PG and doctoral levels. GNLU Gandhinagar campus covers an area of 50 acres. The university provides extensive practical training to students. Moot court competitions are conducted at regular intervals at the campus. The university has a Committee of Recruitment Affairs (CRA) that handles GNLU Gandhinagar placements. The CRA is responsible for conducting the placement and inviting companies to hire students. GNLU offers law programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD levels.
