The college library is well equipped to cater the needs of the students. It is a two-storied building having floor area of 4500 sq.ft. (approx.). This library building has been constructed with the help of UGC grants under Xth Plan period. The library has a total collection of more than 29000 titles. We have also a comparatively small library functioning in the morning shift of the college. The library subscribes some journals. The process of computerization has recently been started. There is also a reading hall. Five science departments separately run seminar libraries. There is also the provision of book-bank facility to the needy and meritorious students. Students are also allowed to enjoy overnight issue of books. All students are required to return the books before the test examination. The college has two hostels: one 'Vivekananda Chhatrabas' (the boys' hostel) for SC/ST boys and the other 'Nivedita Chhatrinibas' (the girls' hostel) for girls students with 40 and 60 seat capacities respectively. Students who need hostel accommodation are required to apply separately for the same during or just after admission. Scheduled caste and scheduled tribe students are given highest preference during allotment of seats of the boys' hostel. If any seat(s) remain vacant, it is usually filled up out of the general caste student applicants giving appropriate weightage to merit and distance from residence to the college.
