HPNLU admission 2024 is done based on the CLAT exam scores. The process is ongoing and is to conclude with the release of the final merit list by the Consortium of NLUs. HPNLU admission 2024 is provided to BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) at the UG level and LLM at the PG Level. These are the most popular programmes offered at HPNLU Shimla. Other than this, it also offers a PhD programme, admission to which is granted on the entrance test conducted by the university.
HPNLU MBA admission is done based on merit. LLM admissions, required candidates to pass with an LLB degree with at least 55% aggregate marks. For admission to the UG programmes at HPNLU, a minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required in the 10+2 qualifying exam. A 5% relaxation in the eligibility criteria is provided to reserved category candidates for admission at HPNLU Shimla. HPNLU admission process for BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses are granted through CLAT at UG and PG levels. PhD admission at HPNLU is based on the university-conducted entrance test. HPNLU Shimla admission process includes registration on the CLAT official website, filling in the application form, uploading necessary documents and getting shortlisted based on the CLAT scores, for UG and PG courses. HPNLU Shimla MBA admission is done on a merit basis. For PhD admission, the HPNLU registration process is to be done on the university’s website. The detailed application process is mentioned below for the reference of aspiring candidates:
Step 1: At first, candidates have to meet the stated HPNLU eligibility criteria for their preferred course.
Step 2: If applying for the BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), or, LLM course, then apply for CLAT.
Step 3: Visit the CLAT official website (consortiumofnlus.ac.in).
Step 4: Register yourself and fill in the application form.

Step 1: For PhD admission, registrations are to be done in hpnlu.ac.in.

Step 4: The HPNLU Shimla application fees for the PhD entrance test is Rs 3,000 for the unreserved categories and Rs 2,500 for the SC/ST and other reserved categories.
Step 5: Based on the applications, shortlisting are to be done for appearing for the PhD Entrance Examination of HPNLU. The list of candidates shortlisted will be available on the official website under the “Notices” or “What’s New” sections and the HPNLU admit card shall be sent to the candidates on the registered email IDs.
HPNLU UG admission is based on the CLAT ranks and the Consortium of National Universities allocation list. After meeting the HPNLU Shimla eligibility criteria for UG courses, candidates have to apply and take the CLAT exam. HPNLU admission for international students includes categories of Foreign Nationals, SAARC Nationals and Non-Resident Indians. Admission is granted for BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons) and LLM programmes. There are a total of 18, 9 and 12 seats available for the mentioned programmes, respectively at NLU Shimla. Admission is based on inter-se merit of qualifying examination (10+2/ LLB). HPNLU Shimla application fee for registration is Rs 4,000 (non-refundable).
The CLAT 2024 first merit list for admission to HPNLU Shimla is out. Now that seats have been assigned, students can choose to Freeze, Float, or Exit. Applicants who are content with their assigned seat may select the 'Freeze' option and pay the confirmation cost to gain entry. It is important to be aware that once a seat is frozen, it cannot be reopened for future CLAT counselling sessions.

At HPNLU Shimla, aspirants are not eligible for direct admission. In order to be admitted to the courses this university offers, applicants must either be accepted on the basis of merit or meet the requirements of an entrance exam.
