List of Documents Required to Fill GATE Application Form

GATE Application Form: IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE application form correction process from November 20 to 24. IISc Bangalore had also released the GATE New two-paper combination on its official website on November 11. Using this facility, candidates could log in through the GOAPS portal to edit/add the second paper subject till November 17. The authorities will conduct the GATE exam on February 3, 4, 10 and 11 in online mode for a total of 30 papers.

IIT Placements 2023-24: Highest Package Offered, Top Recruiters

IIT Placements 2023-24: IIT Placements 2023-24 commenced for the top IITs on December 1, 2023, with crore-plus offers from trading and investment firms. IIT Kharagpur has bagged over 700 offers with 6 offers of more than INR 1 crore per annum. At IIT Delhi, 1,050 students have been placed in top firms, while 989 offers have been made at IIT Kanpur. With 1,340 job offers made to IIT Bombay graduates, 22 students secured lucrative salary packages of above INR 1 crore per annum. IIT placements across India are usually conducted between December and May. While the highest package of IIT in 2023-24, as recorded by IIT Kharagpur, stood at INR 2.68 CPA, the IIT average package ranges from INR 20-50 LPA. Some top recruiters at IITs include Capital One, Oracle, Nutanix, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company, JP Morgan Chase, Bajaj, etc.

CEED 2024 Exam Dates: Syllabus, Exam Pattern, Admit Card, Exam Analysis & Results

CEED 2024: The CEED exam assesses candidates' design aptitude through a computer-based test. Divided into two parts, Part A is online while Part B is offline. IIT Bombay announced the exam results on March 6, 2024. Part A scores are available to all, while total scores and ranks are given based on meeting the Part A cutoff set on February 8, 2024, with a mean of 41.90 and a standard deviation of 16.72. CEED 2024 was held on January 21, 2024, offering admissions to M.Des and Ph.D. programs. It evaluates drawing skills, visual perception, creativity, logical reasoning, communication, and problem-solving abilities. CEED serves as a qualifying exam for M.Des programs at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, and PhD programs at various institutes.

IIT Bombay JoSAA Round 2 Cutoff 2024: The NIRF 2023 rankings have listed IIT Bombay as the 3rd topmost engineering college in the country. Usually, the JoSAA Round 1 opening rank for the IIT Bombay CSE course is rank 1 and this year also, it was the same. The closing rank in Round 1 2024 was 68 and that in 2023 was 67. By Round 6 last year, the cutoff remained the same at rank 67.

UCEED 2024 Dates: Exam Pattern, Admit Card, Paper Analysis, Results, & Counselling

UCEED 2024: The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED), held annually by IIT Bombay, serves as a gateway for admissions into B.Des programs at prestigious IITs such as IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur. In addition to the IITs, UCEED scores are recognized by top private design schools such as BITS Pilani, VIT Vellore, and FDDI. This year's exam took place on January 21, 2024, from 9 am to 12 noon. According to student feedback, the UCEED 2024 exam ranged from easy to moderate in difficulty, though some students felt it was a bit lengthy. Unlike UCEED 2023, Part A (aptitude) was extended to 2 hours, while Part B (drawing) remained 1 hour. Additionally, a new question was added to Part B, making it two drawing questions instead of one, which tested both design thinking and sketching skills.

Unfortunately, IIT Bombay does not offer any lateral entry programme for B.Tech. IIT Bombay admissions to the B.Tech programme are made through the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) exam. However, IIT Bombay does offer a dual degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) programme in some departments, and students who have completed a diploma in engineering from a recognised institute are eligible to apply for admission to the second year of the dual degree program through the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam.

Hello Sarmistha, yes, you can opt for M.Des in Graphic Designing at IIT Bombay even if you have done a BCA as your UG course. Your minimum marks in the final year should be higher than 55% marks, a portfolio of your work and qualified the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED). The CEED is a national level entrance exam for admission to M.Des programs in Design conducted by the National Institute of Design (NID).
