Dear Sohail Imtiyaj Khan,

Unfortunately, IIT Bombay does not offer any lateral entry programme for B.Tech. IIT Bombay admissions to the B.Tech programme are made through the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) exam. However, IIT Bombay does offer a dual degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) programme in some departments, and students who have completed a diploma in engineering from a recognised institute are eligible to apply for admission to the second year of the dual degree program through the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam.

Dear Student,

You may certainly take up M.Des at IDC, IIT Bombay or NID after qualifying Integrated Bsc/BA + PG diploma in Animation from WWI Mumbai. The eligibility criteria for M.Des at both the institutes are as follows:

  • For M.Des at IDC, IIT Bombay, you must have obtained at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST/PwD) or equivalent grades in the qualifying exam. You must also have a valid score in CEED.

  • For M.Des at the National Institute of Design (NID), you must hold a Bachelor's degree of minimum 4-year duration in any specialization from any university or institute recognised in India. For NID admissions, you are required to have a valid score in NID-DAT.

Hope this answers your question. In case you have further queries, you may write back to us or call our student helpline number 1800-572-9877 to get in touch with an admissions counsellor directly.
