IIM Jammu admission 2024 is ongoing for EMBA and doctoral programmes. IIM Jammu EMBA admission last date is March 31, 2024. The IIMJAT exam will be held on April 21 and its results will be announced on May 1, 2024. Further, for doctoral programme admission at IIM Jammu, the last date is March 31, 2024. The authorities will conduct IIM RAT exam for working professionals on April 21, 2024, and its results will be declared on May 1, 2024. 

IIM Jammu MBA admissions are based on CAT scores. However, selection of students is based on the Common Admission Process (CAP). CAP registration is expected to begin in January and students will be offered seats subject to qualification of the CAP round. However, students who meet PI shortlisting criteria but are unable to meet CAP cut off criteria may appear for the supplementary admission process (SAP) organised by IIM Jammu for MBA admissions.

IIM Jammu Admission Process 2024

IIM Jammu admission process varies course-wise. For MBA admissions, students shall have valid CAT scores and must have qualified CAP/SAP for admissions. Further, working professionals with 50% in graduation can apply for the EMBA programme. For admission to a 5-year integrated programme in Management (IPM), students have to qualify the JIPMAT exam and selection is based on a merit list based on JIPMAT scores, academic profile and seat intake.

IIM Jammu MBA Admission 2024

IIM Jammu MBA Admission is based on CAT scores. As per the official notice released by the institute, admission intake for the MBA batch is 240 seats. Based on CAT result scores, students are selected for the personal interview (PI) rounds. 9 IIMs together conduct PI round through the Common Admission Process (CAP). In addition to CAP, IIM Jammu also conducts its own Supplementary Admission Process (SAP). This is a part of IIM Jammu admission process for candidates who meet PI shortlisting criteria but do not meet CAP cut off criteria. Criteria for PI shortlisting is the CAT percentile for different sections like VARCP, DILRP, and, QAP, as well as overall CAT percentile. The Merit Lists are prepared based on the following IIM Jammu MBA Admission criteria:

  • CAT Score: 0.4 x Absolute percentile of CAT (40 marks)
  • Personal Interview: 30 marks
  • Profile: 30 marks

IIM Jammu admissions procedure entails :

  • CAT Examination
  • Candidate selection for Personal Interview (PI) procedure
  • 9 IIMs (IIM Jammu, IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Trichy, and IIM Udaipur) will conduct Personal Interview (PI) process collectively through the Common Admission Process (CAP process).
  • For students who fulfil IIM Jammu PI shortlisting criterion but do not match CAP cut off criteria, IIM Jammu will undertake an extra Supplementary Admission Process (SAP) in addition to Common Admission Process as previously indicated.
  • The following tables show how merit list will be created based on CAT, PI, and profile scores.

Based on criteria defined for each category, IIM Jammu Admission Committee will choose the number of applicants who will be summoned for the Personal Interview (PI) procedure. Overall, as well as section-specific minimum scores, would be decreased to get requisite number of candidates, though, if the actual number of short-listed applicants was discovered to be fewer than needed number of candidates to be called for PI category-wise.

Acceptance of Offer Fee and Withdrawal :

  • An applicant who receives an admissions offer from IIM Jammu and accepts the offer within a specified time period must submit Rs. 50,000 (50%) as part of the offer acceptance process. 
  • Offer Acceptance Amount will be returned after processing fees of Rs. 1,000 have been deducted if a candidate later decides to reject the offer before the Institute-specified withdrawal period.
  • No reimbursement will be allowed if a candidate requests to withdraw after the Institute's designated deadline. 
  • If a candidate enrols in the programme, Term I Fee will be deducted from their Offer Acceptance Amount. 
  • No reimbursement of the Offer Acceptance Amount & Term Fee will be given in case of withdrawal from the programme following enrollment.

IIM Jammu IPM Admission 2024

The Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) course has a 120-seat intake for the next batch of IPM. IIM Jammu course admissions for IPM will be based on scores of the Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT) which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) each year. The basic eligibility criteria for admission at IIM Jammu would also include the following:
