Maheshtala College Campus Facilities - Hostel Fees, Infrastructure, Address

The College has reasonable infrastructure accommodating Administrative unit, Library, Lecture halls, Science laboratories, lavatories, etc, spread over a campus of 0. 78 acres. The College has facilities for indoor and outdoor games like Badminton, Volleyball, Football, Cricket, Table Tennis and Carrom. However the College does not have a Health Centre. The College arranges comprehensive Health check up of students in collaboration with the Rotary Club and The College is also a member of the Students' Health Home that provides health service to the students at a cheaper rate

The college has a Ladies Hostel funded from assistance of the UGC.

The motto of NSS is ‘NOT ME BUT YOU’ – This reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service.

A unit of National Service Scheme (NSS), under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is operative in the college. First and second year students of the college are motivated to join the programme. NSS volunteers of the college participate in an oath-taking ceremony and pledge their commitment to the service of the nation. Observance of birthdays, anniversaries of national leaders, events of national or social importance are commemorated with due pomp and gravity. Social welfare activities both within the college and in the vicinity are observed with much enthusiasm by the student-volunteers. They devote themselves in  keeping the campus green and clean, raising awareness about HIV-AIDS, diseases like cancer, mental stress etc. , contributing study materials such as exercise books and pens, pencils to nearby primary school children and children living in neighbourhood slums.

Dr Rumpa Das is the Programme Officer of the NSS unit and the executive core team members include Principal, teachers, non-teaching faculty members, noted physician and cancer –specialist of the area Dr Mahfuz Arif, Inspector in Charge of local Maheshtala Police Station.
