Overall: MAMC is one of the renowned medical colleges in Delhi. Like every other medical college, you need to clear the NEET exam in order to get admission to the college. It has a huge campus of around 120 acres and the basic facilities are easily accessible at the campus. Maulana Azad College is very reputed since it is one of the few medical colleges affiliated to Delhi University. The fee is very reasonable at the college and the quality of education is good. Coming to the faculty and the placements, both are decent. The teachers are helpful and competent, however, exceptions are there. As for the placements, the average stipend for an internship is Rs 20,000.
Placement: As far as placement is concerned, the college provides good internship opportunities. The average stipend for UG students is around Rs 20,000 for a month and for the PG students it is around Rs 86,000 for a month. AIIMS Delhi, Hindurao hospital, and Advance Polyclinic are some of the top recruiters.
Infrastructure: The college has a huge campus of around 120 acres. It is equipped with all basic amenities like hostels, libraries, sports grounds, labs, etc. The campus is clean and hygienic, however, it is simple. The hostels are built separately for girls and boys and they have all basic residential facilities. The labs are well-equipped and the food served in the canteen is decent and affordable.
Faculty: Most of my teachers were very helpful and knowledgeable. They were sincere in conducting lectures and evaluating our assignments. However, some of the professors were very ignorant. In their subjects, I had to stick to self-study. Some of the senior professors also had the experience of around 25 years.
Hostel: The hostels are basic at MAMC. The block for girls and boys is different. There is a table-chair set in each room for studying purposes along with bedding. The reading room and the TV room are common for all. There is also a separate sports ground for the hostellers. The hostel canteen is decent, but the food is not exceptionally good. It is average.
