R P Sarathy Institute of Technology admission into BE, B.Tech and ME programmes are offered through the entrance exam. There are different eligibility criteria for UG and PG courses. Students with a minimum of 50% in HSC can apply to R P Sarathy Institute of Technology B.Tech admission. Students of the reserved category are given a relaxation of 5% on HSC marks. Interested candidates seeking R P Sarathy Institute of Technology PG admissions must understand that two-year ME degree programmes are separated into four semesters. Six theory courses and one or two practical courses are offered throughout the first two semesters. Three theory courses, including electives and phase I of project work, are offered during the third semester. Phase II of the programme, which involves doing experiments and research and creating a thesis, is covered in the fourth semester. Three internal assessment tests and a final exam are required for the theory courses. There are internal and final exams for the practical subjects. All of the tests are closed-book exams. Viva-Voce examinations are a part of practical exams as well.
