The temporary NIT Goa campus is located at Farmagudi, Ponda, Goa. Currently, NIT Goa is functioning out of the Goa Engineering College campus (GEC). The institute is all set to receive 120 acres for its development. The NIT Goa campus has well-equipped and state-of-the-art classrooms. The college also has an auditorium where college fest and other programmes are organised. The labs of NITG are equipped with a 1GB leased line fibre-optic cable. The college is fully residential. NIT Goa campus has four hostels. Three of those four hostels are for boys and one is for girls. Students are given a mess facility. The NIT Goa hostel mess provides quality food to students and has high sanitation standards. The college also has a cafeteria that provides food to students at a reasonable or pocket-friendly price. The campus life of students is active. Some of the most active NIT Goa societies are INVICTUS (the sports meet) and TESLA (The Electrical Engineer’s association).
NIT Goa is very stringent about ragging. The college administration, as well as students, promote the idea of anti-ragging. The college administration takes strict action against bullies. Students also actively and enthusiastically indulge in cultural events, jam sessions and many such things. NIT Goa also has a robotics club. The aim of the club is to promote students to learn, understand and design robotics. The club provides opportunities for interested students to express their skills, creativity and knowledge through programming, designing and conceptualizing robots.
To provide a forum for networking and promoting interaction among alumni of the institute, NIT Goa has established an alumni association (AANITG). The association organises several events and ceremonies to promote the same. The NIT Goa library is well equipped with textbooks and reference books to cater to the needs of its students. Every student has access to these books. Other than this, the library has also subscribed to a number of journals, magazines and newspapers.
To facilitate students to understand, design and learn robotics. Provide interested students with opportunities to express their skills, knowledge and creativity through conceptualizing, designing and programming robots.
To encourage and enable students to utilize and enrich their creativity and engineering skills through robotics; so as to imbibe technical skills, teamwork and leadership in them. To inspire young minds to be the driving force in the field of robotics, by engaging them in exciting, mentor-based programs that build engineering skills, inspire innovation, and foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication and leadership.
