Overall: If we talk about overall performance of this college it is pretty good . It is situated in a very beautiful place from where you can the beauty of nature.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very good. As this college is running from 1962 it's infrastructure is very good even after so many years this looks more beautiful in snowfall time
Faculty: Teaching staff of nit Srinagar is quite good as their are well experienced professors but in first some PhD will also come to teach some subjects but in 2 3 years you can get better experienced professors
Overall: First of I will come to academics, it's overall good not good the curriculum of courses is despite good according to GATE syllabus. Secondly about Faculty/Professors is also well experienced and always helpful. And finally about Placement, I will rate 4 out of 5 including Good companies and PSU. I will rate 9 out of 10 comparison to other NIT colleges.
Placement: I will rate placement 8 out of 10, being specific about Electrical engineering a lot of good domain specific companies visits and some of PSU also visits.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is very good and classroom is smart and well equipped with facilities like smart board, AC, podium etc. And there is All labs have equipment according to academic needs
Faculty: Faculty members is quite experienced and helpful all the times according to curriculum they teaches well and also very helpful in project and kind of work.
Hostel: About hostel facilities I will say till now not upto mark comparing with other NITs, but construction & Repairing is going on. And mess food is according to me it's good.
Overall: In the previous year, almost 70% of students were placed. The highest salary package offered is 22 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA and the average salary package offered is 6 LPA and 7 LPA.The infrastructure of classrooms and the hostel is good. Our college is constructing a hostel which can accommodate 1,000 students. Our canteen is small due to which price of items is more than the normal price. The lab is good and comfortable. The curriculum is good. We know the syllabus. Not everyone goes to class, so most students study by themselves with the help of YouTube. Some teachers are good, but many are not. Some subjects in the curriculum will not be useful in the future. The difficulty level of semester exams is above average.
Placement: Placements are increased in our college over the recent years as the institute reported an increase of 85% placements. Around 90% of placements are provided in our branch with an average salary package of 15 LPA to 20 LPA and the highest salary package is 40 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Tesla, Suzuki, Tata, etc.
Infrastructure: NIT Srinagar is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India. Which is established in the 1960s. The infrastructure of our college is good. The mechanical department has many labs like tribology lab, production lab, ic engines lab, Mechatronics lab, cad lab, industrial Engineering lab, fluid mechanics lab and turbine erosion testing lab. We have our own campus open air Wi-Fi, which can be accessed anywhere in the campus. Library is also good where we get all the required books for our courses. For boys there are seven hostels with a separate mess in each hostel. For girls there are two hostels. Food in the mess is average but in canteen there is above average quality food. We have hospital in campus in which we get all our medical needs. Our campus is around 70 acres and most of the students play cricket, volleyball, basketball, Badminton etc. There is also a good running track.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and well-qualified with Ph.D from IITs. They assist and solve the queries of the students. Some teachers are not up to the mark and make the subjects boring. The course curriculum is good and should be updated. Exams are easy and students can score well easily. The pass percentage is 40%.
Hostel: Hostel life is not that good. A room has at least 6 students. Rooms are not well ventilated. Internet and LAN are available. Canteens are not that good and at the same time, expensive. Sports ground has just been made so that's also good, so overall, it is average.
