NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology admission 2024 will start with KCET counselling which will be conducted after the result announcement. KEA has released the provisional KCET answer key 2024 on April 29, 2024. Candidates can raise objections against any key from April 30 to May 7, 2024. KCET final answer key 2024 will be announced on May 10, 2024, tentatively. The final keys will be released based on the objections raised against the provisional answer keys by candidates. Further, KEA will announce the KCET result 2024 on May 20, 2024.

NMIT Bangalore offers a variety of courses in the field of engineering. The NMIT Bangalore admissions are offered in undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma courses, and Ph.D. programmes. The curriculum aims for strong foundations for the students in terms of learning. NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology Eligibility Criteria

  • 2nd PUC/ 12th standard examination. PUC means pre-university course. It has the 11th and 12th standard examinations. The 11th standard examination is the 1st PUC, and the 12th standard examination is the 2nd PUC. The NMIT B.E. courses require the candidates to have cleared the 2nd PUC/ 12th standard or an equivalent examination.
  • English language: Candidates applying to the UG courses must have English as one of the languages in the 12th standard/ PUC they have cleared.
  • The UG courses require minimum aggregate marks that the candidates must have obtained to be eligible for the courses.
  • The Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology PG courses require specific minimum aggregate marks that the candidates must have obtained in their bachelor’s exams to be eligible for the admission process. 
  • The UG & PG courses require the candidates to appear for various entrance exams depending on the courses and have the scores as the eligibility criteria.

NMIT Bangalore Eligibility Requirements

The requirements for the Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology admissions vary from course to course. The eligibility criteria for various courses is given below -

Admission to B.E. Courses

Candidates require the scores of specific entrance exams for admission to B.E. courses. Candidates domiciled in Karnataka can give the UGCET conducted by the Karnataka government. UGCET is the Undergraduate Common Entrance Test, also known as Karnataka Common Entrance Test, conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), Bengaluru. 45% of the seats are filled through this test of the total intake. 5% seats of the supernumerary quota are available for the deserving economically weaker students who get the provision of tuition fee waiver.

In the case of NMIT Bangalore admission through COMED-K, 20% of the total seats are filled through this examination. COMED-K is the “Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka”. 25% of the total intake is filled through the management quota. Provisional admission started in April. 15% extra seats are approved by AICTE under the SNQ (Supernumerary Quota) for the foreign nationals/ NRI/ PIO/ students whose parents work in the Gulf countries.

Admission to M. Tech

  • The Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology M.Tech courses take 80% of the total intake through PGCET conducted by the Government of Karnataka. PGCET is Post Graduate Common Entrance Test conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bengaluru. 
  • 20% of the total seats are through the management quota. Candidates applying through this need PGCET or a qualified GATE score.
  • Under this, 15% extra seats are approved by the AICTE for the foreign nationals/PIO/NRI/students whose parents are working in the Gulf countries.

Admission to MBA

  • 50% of the total seats for NMIT MBA courses are filled through the PGCET conducted by the Karnataka Government.
  • The remaining seats are filled through the management quota for which, the candidates need PGCET/C-MAT/K-MAT score to be eligible. C-MAT is the Common Management Admission Test, a national-level entrance examination for admission to management courses in India conducted by the National Testing Agency.
  • K-MAT is the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test conducted by the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) for admission to professional courses, namely, MBA, PGDM, and MCA.
  • 15% of extra seats approved by the AICTE under the SNQ are for the foreign nationals/ NRI/ PIO/ students whose parents are working in the Gulf countries.

Admission to MCA

  • 50% of the total intake for the Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology MCA courses is through the PGCET conducted by the Government of Karnataka.
  • The rest of the intake is through the management quota where the candidates require the PGCET/ K-MAT scores to be eligible.
  • Additional 15% seats approved by the AICTE under the SNQ are for the foreign nationals/PIO /NRI /students whose parents work in the Gulf countries.

Admission to Ph.D.

NMIT offers Ph.D. programmes in various departments of the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, and the University of Mysore in Mysore. The details for NMIT Bangalore admission are available on the official websites of these two universities as and when the applications for the Ph.D. programmes are invited.

Admission to the Diploma courses

Admission to the diploma courses of this institute is through the management quota only. It starts in the month of April every year.

NMIT Bangalore Application process

Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology Bangalore has started the invitation of applications to its courses for the academic year 2024-24. The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and Ph.D. courses. The candidates who want to pursue any of these have to apply to the courses and complete the process of admission if they qualify for all levels of selection.  

The candidates are allowed to apply to multiple NMIT courses at a time. For this, they will have to fill out an application form separately for each course. In the case of admission through the management quota, the candidates who apply early will get priority in the NMIT Bangalore admission under the management category, provided all requirements are fulfilled. The NRI/OCI/PIO candidates can also apply through this platform.

  • Go to the NMIT official website.
  • On the top right corner, there is an “Apply Now” button right beside the “Quick Access” link. Click on “Apply Now”. 
  • On clicking on “Apply Now”, you will reach the page titled “NMIT Online Applications Open for Academic Year 2024-24” for registration. 
  • Read the instructions given on this page carefully to avoid any problems with the registration and application process.
  • Candidates should make sure they have a valid email ID and phone number for the registration. The institute will use these for all communications throughout the application process.
  • On the application page, the candidate has to fill in his/ her first name, last name, email ID, mobile number, programme level, and course. The programme level has the options of diploma, lateral engineering, PG, and UG. 
  • Once you select the appropriate programme level, you will get the corresponding list of options under the course option. Select the course of your choice.
  • The candidates who are applying for more than one course must finish the application process for one course and then proceed to fill out the form for another course and repeat for the courses left to apply.
  • There is an option to agree to receive communication through SMS, whatsApp, and email. Click on the checkbox.
  • Check all the information thoroughly to make sure everything is correct. Incomplete applications will get rejected. Therefore, make sure it is complete.
  • Click the “Submit” button to complete the NMIT Bangalore registration.
  • After this, verify your email and phone number.
  • Next, you will reach the application form page. Fill in all the details asked in the form like personal details, academic qualifications, etc.
  • Upload the required documents. Be sure to adhere to the size and format specified for the files and the dimensions in the case of the photograph.
  • Once this is done, make the online payment of the application fee of Rs 750 for the course. The payment is not refundable.
