North Lakhimpur College Scholarships 2024 - Details, Eligibility, Amount

North Lakhimpur college scholarship programme helps students to continue their studies regardless of any financial crisis. The institute also provides cash prizes to meritorious students. National Scholarship

National scholarship is a government initiative which provides students with merit-based scholarships so that they can continue their studies without any difficulty. The eligibility criteria for the North Lakhimpur College national scholarship is that the parent income should be less than 3,50,000 per year and the student has a minimum of 55%.

Scholarships to students from SC, ST, and OBC categories

These scholarships are meant for students who belong to the SC, ST and OBC categories. The  North Lakhimpur College scholarships for these students are a means of achieving equality for students who belong to different backgrounds and have limited or no access to quality education.

Scholarships for minority communities

Ishan Uday Scholarship

The Ishan Uday Scholarship is an initiative of the UGC, Ministry of Education under the central government. Students from the North-East region of India who have completed Class 12 and wishes to pursue higher education can apply for this scholarship.

• Cash prize of Rs. 10000/- and certificate of merit to students of this college who secure the highest marks in the BA/BSc final examination
• Cash prize of Rs. 1500/- and certificate of merit to students of this college who secure a position in the first ten amongst the successful candidates of both Arts and Science stream in UG examination.
• Cash prize of Rs. 2000/- to the students of the college who secure the highest marks in any subject in the state in the H.S. Final Examination (in both Arts and Science streams).
• Cash prize of Rs. 5,000/- to the H.S. science students with Mathematics securing the highest marks in the final examination.
• Cash prize of Rs. 3,000/- to the students of Anthropology (Major) securing the highest marks in B.A/ B.Sc final examinations.
• Cash prize of Rs. 1,000/- to the students with Education (Major) securing 1st class 1st position in final examination awarded by the Department of Education, North Lakhimpur College.
• Student Aid Fund maintained by the College – On application to the Principal, an amount up to a maximum of Rs. 5000 (lump sum) is granted to the poor and meritorious students whose father’s/ guardian’s annual income does not exceed Rs. 5000 to enable such students to purchase books etc.
• Cash prize of Rs.5000 to the student securing the highest marks in Logic & Philosophy in HS Final examinations by the Department of Philosophy of the college.
• Annual Scholarship to the students securing the highest marks in Political Science (Major) in the College in B.A. Final Examination.
