Pondicherry Engineering College (PCE) campus is situated in the spiritual city of Pondicherry and spread over 210 acres. The college provides a multi-cultural environment for students with modern infrastructure. The well designed departmental buildings, students' amenities center, open-air theatre, library, hostels, residential quarters for staff, lawns and gardens form great scenic beauty and develop an excellent setting for the pursuit of studies in engineering and science & humanities at the PEC campus. A newly developed auditorium with a capacity of 750 seats is the latest addition to institute facility. Also, The college has an excellent automated library for each department; equipped with standard books, periodicals, journals and papers and open to all the students through the day or all working days.
PEC, Pondicherry library is also a member of DELNET (Developing Library Network, Delhi). Apart from that, there is a well-furnished guest house, canteen, well-equipped dispensary, and well-planned fiber-optical campus network with internet connectivity is available in the campus. At present, there are three boys’ hostels and one girl’s hostel. The names of the boy’s hotels are as Saranga and Varali; have the capacity to accommodate 270 boys. The girl’s hostel, Tharangini, can accommodate 136 students. Each hostel is equipped with modern amenities such as recreation room including facilities for indoor games. The college provides sports facilities such as two basketball courts, one football ground and one cricket ground to improve health and appetite.
To make the student life engaging and fun the institute operates multiple clubs and cells which are either interest based like photography, music, health, etc or need-based such as Grievance Cell, Counselling Cell, etc.
All the candidates seeking admission in the College are advised to stay in the hostels. At present, there are two agents hostels (for U.G students), one agent's hostel (for P.G. students) and one ladies hostel. The hostels are named after the ragas of Carnatic music. The two gents hostels named as Saranga and Varali have the capacity to accommodate 270 students. The P.G. hostel named as Charukesi has a capacity of 60 single rooms. The ladies hostel, Tharangini, can accommodate 136 students.

All the rooms in the hostels have been provided with fans and are modestly furnished. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is available to the students. As the College Campus has residential quarters for staff, the students have several opportunities to come into contact with the teaching and other staff of the college. The atmosphere in the hostel is conducive to the development of the cosmopolitan outlook. Owing to the national character of the College and its hostel, the students develop integrated personalities over a period of harmonious living in the hostels.
A certain measure of self-governing, decision making and problem-solving is involved in the hostel administration. This aspect of the college hostel life promotes the students' sense of responsibility and sensitive self-awareness.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not so good. It was built a very long time ago but they modify it from time to time. Classrooms are good with more space.
Hostel: The hostel has a food of quality, and the menu is mostly based on the students' desires and can be changed if required. the mess facilities are worthy of mentioning while the rooms and hostel might need improvement.
