The college is situated in a place which is very near to the famous Grand Trunk Road and just on the opposite bank of the Hooghly river of the famous temple of Goddess Kali at Dakshineswar.
Environment Awareness Cell
The Women Cell of the college called MITALI addresses issues related to women staff & girl students of the college. It has a four member committee which consists of two women teacher, one woman member from the non-teaching staff and one girl students' representative. Gender sensitization is the main objective of the cell.
MITALI encourages the students & staff to participate in cultural activities which promote issues related to gender.
The cell inspires the girl students for social & financial empowerment through regular guidance & counselling.
The cell makes girl students aware of the social responsibilities and gives them mental support to fight against sexual harassment of any kind through proper guidance and counselling.
The teachers in the respective departments also counsel the girl students regularly.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is good. There is smart classes available. There is library well organized. There is computer lab in updated version. There is sports area with all required material.
Hostel: The hostel of this college is good. The food of this hostel is not bad. The staff of this hostel is helpful. Then environment of this hostel is safe for both boys and girls.
Infrastructure: Great community hall with 500+ seats. River Ganges view. Proper labs for zoology and etc subjects. Good computer setup for technical student. Propper sanitary for girls.
Hostel: This is local college. No body need such hostels for living at this area. But very fluent connectivity with grand trank road, and railway station so I think there is no prblm without hostel
