Our Take:
When asked by students about the college culture, they have voiced that college politics have caused a lot of stress among students. Students are unwilling to attend classes, and the same is evident in the AQAR report, where the dropout rate is stated at 17%. The report further mentions that the total number . of actual teaching days during the academic year is 193, with an average student attendance rate of 76%.
Regarding Pass-percentage, the AQAR report mentions the following for the year 2016-17:

Our Take:
From the above data, it is evident that the results are not satisfactory. Even if the pass percentage of UG Hons students is 82.15%, most of them are second-division holders, with no students receiving distinction. It signifies that the teaching pedagogy adopted by the college has not procured the right outcome. Ranaghat College needs to improve itself in terms of the quality of teaching and take the requisite initiatives to encourage students to attend classes regularly instead of focusing on college politics.

Our Take:
Having just 45 temporary faculty members, the faculty-to-student ratio is currently at 250 students per teacher, which falls short of expectations. Students have also expressed that the professors are unhelpful, and their interaction with students comes across as impolite. The college needs to make a stringent plan to provide students with the right education from the right educators.
The college is located at NH 34, Old Berhampore Road, Ranaghat, Nadia, West Bengal. The Ranaghat Railway Station is at a distance of 2 km from the college.
Our Take:
Students have expressed that the college is at a favourable location well-connected by roads and railways. The college website mentions that students who live far from college can avail railway monthly concession facility.
Established with a pious motive to provide education to economically challenged students, the college has provided complimentary facilities to its students. The newly developed canteen and the arboretum are the highlights of the college in terms of infrastructure.
Nonetheless, there are concerns brought up by students that demand specific consideration from the college administration. The student-teacher relationship requires enhancement, as students have voiced concerns about the approachability of their professors. Furthermore, students have conveyed dissatisfaction with the tuition fees, considering the level of teaching they receive. In terms of diversity, a significant portion of the student body comprises locals, limiting their exposure and potentially hindering their holistic development.
