How does the JoSAA 2025 seat allotment process take place?: Candidates participating in the JoSAA counselling process will be allotted seats at the respective institutes via the JoSAA seat allotment process 2025. The candidates who qualify the minimum cutoff criteria for their desired colleges can only participate in the counselling and the choice filling process. Once the candidates fill in the preferred choice of course/college during the choice filling they will be allocated seats considering those choices. Candidates who complete the entire counselling, choice filling, document submission, seat allocation process will only be granted admissions. JoSAA Counselling Based on JEE Advanced 2025: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the counselling rounds based on the ranks secured in the JEE Advanced exam 2025. Candidates have to register for the JoSAA counselling round by providing the JEE Main 2025 roll number. On the other hand, JEE Advance seat allotment 2025 will be done post-counselling process. Through the JoSAA counselling the seats are allocated to 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IITs, and 28 GFTIs based on the scores secured by the candidates in the JEE Advanced Exam 2025. Who is Eligible for JoSAA Round 2 Counselling 2025? JoSAA released the seat allotment result for round 2 on June 27, 2025. While many candidates will be allotted seats per their rank in round 1 of JoSAA counselling 2025, many others will not be allotted seats in this phase. Candidates must note that there are a total of 5 rounds in the counselling process. Therefore, applicants who were not allotted seats in the earlier round or candidates who were not allotted seats as per their course and college preference will be eligible for JoSAA round 2 counselling 2025. JoSAA Round 3 Counselling 2025 Eligibility Criteria: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will release the JoSAA seat allotment 2025 round 3 results online mode in July 2025 (tentatively).
