R.M.D. Engineering College was established in 2001. The institute is an ISO 9OO1:2O15 certified institute which and is accredited by NAAC. R.M.D. Engineering College is affiliated by Anna University, Chennai. Additionally, the college is also approved by AICTE(All India Council for Technical Education) and is located at Tiruvallur District,

Tamil Nadu. R.M.D. Engineering College has won many awards and ranking including the 5th ranked awarded for being the cleanest higher education by Ministry of human resource development, the government of India. 

R.M.D. Engineering College offers a bachelor degree in engineering with five different specialisations. All the five specialisations available at the college are accredited by National Board of Accreditation(NBA). Different intakes are available for all the program, Students must enrol their name as soon as possible. Candidates need to check the eligibility criteria of all the streams available at the college before applying for admissions. Additionally, R.M.D. Engineering College also offers a two year master in technology degree in computer science engineering. The college has an updated curriculum and syllabus which will help the candidate to learn with the updated content of all the streams.  

The placement cell of B.R. Engineering College, Rangareddi has signed MOU with so many industries including Wipro Technologies Ltd., Cisco Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd., Vi Microsystems Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, CISCO Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd., Oracle India Private Limited and many others which will provide the students to learn via live industry training. The placement cell of the college was established to provide employment opportunities right on the campus.  Various industries, as well as multinational companies, are invited to the campus for providing decent placement package to the students. There are many foreign Universities & Institutions who has signed MOU with the college.

The college campus of R.M.D. Engineering College is situated in a very clean, green and beautiful landscape. The campus is constructed with buildings including Instructional Area,  Laboratories, Library and Computer Centre which provide comfort to the students. Many facilities are available at the campus hostel, transport, sports and laboratories. The laboratories of the college are equipped with various equipment.
