Over the past years the college has developed an extremely well equipped laboratory base for imparting experimental and practical knowledge in Science faculty. The departments of Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Zoology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Geography are not only equipped with modern instruments and facilities but they are regularly updated for conducting the practical classes. The Geography department also provides an extremely updated GIS laboratory. The Department of Biotechnology (DBT), West Bengal has sanctioned a prestigious grant under Biotechnology based Opportunity Offered to Science & Technology Department (BOOST) to the departments of Microbiology and Molecular Biology to enhance facilities of undergraduate teaching in the said subjects, and allied subjects if any in the college. The departments of Mathematics, Geography, Computer Science and Physics have dedicated computer laboratories as a part of their curriculum. The Commerce department has also set up a well equipped laboratory for IT according to the needs of their changed syllabus. Apart from these departments which have dedicated computer facilities for the students, all other departments of Science and Humanities Faculty are provided with computers. The students and teachers have access to these terminals for gathering information and upgradation. There is also Internet facility available to the students, teachers and research scholars. In addition the students are provided with Internet access in the library from the UGC NET Resource Centre. The college administrative unit is also equipped with computers and they are also provided with internet access. Besides, the departments, Principal’s office, Library , administrative units of the college are well connected through an Intercom system.
