About Saveetha University
Saveetha University, commonly known as Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), was established in 2005. It is one of the best-deemed universities in terms of teaching and research. Saveetha University is located in Saveetha Nagar, Thandalam, Kanchipuram, Chennai. As per NIRF Ranking 2024, Saveetha University has been placed at the 13th position under the University category, 2nd in the Dental category, and 11th position under the Law category. The university is recognised by UGC and has been accredited by NAAC with an “A++” grade.
The university campus is spread over 180+ acres of land with a 70 lakh sq. ft. built area, and comprises 13 institutions, 5000 staff, and 10,000 students.
Saveetha University was placed in the 501–600 rank band in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024. Saveetha University offers courses at the diploma, UG, PG, and doctoral levels.
