The Buildings towering the reputation of the college have a plinth area of about 15718 Sq.m. with a high flavor of architectural excellence. Institute provided excellent infrastructure facilities in all the Departments through the college. Syed Ammal Engineering College has separate hostels for boys and girls, well-equipped labs, well-stuffed library, state-of-art classrooms, Clubs and Activities, Research facilities and much more academic facilities.
IETE
60 Students of ECE and CSE department are enrolled as members of IETE (Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers) students chapter. All the Staff members of ECE Department and 8 Staff members of EEE Department became the life members of IETE. The member is entitled to receive journal of education by IETE through which they can know the latest development in electronics field.
CSI
8 Staff members of CSE & IT department enrolled as life members of CSI (Computer Society of India). The member is entitled to receive CSI journal by CSI through which they can know the latest development in Computer field.
Rotract Club
The Rotract club was started in 2004 and at present 60 students enrolled as members. The Rotract club donated free note books to the students of school in Karunkulam village.

Blood Donors Club – Youth Red Cross
Our students have voluntarily donated blood to the patients during emergency situations and thus they have saved so many lives.We are having a Blood Donors’ Club in the memory of of our Founder Dr.E.M.Abdullah and Mr.P.Muralikrishna, Lecturer, Dept. of Mathematics is the in-charge of the club.
Regular Activities
Around 70% of our Students are the members of he club.
Every year we arrange Blood Group detection Camp.
Every year we arrange a Blood Donation Camp on the Founder’s Day (4th July) in our College Campus.
Through this Camp We are donating around 200 units of Blood to Madurai Rajaji Govt. Hospital.
Also We are donating 50 units of Blood in every Semester Vacations to Ramanathapuram Govt. Hospital.
In addition that our students are donates their blood in case of any emergency in and around Ramanathapuram district.
Achievement
Our Blood Donors’ Club received the the rolling Shield for the Best Blood Donors’ Club in our region for the past three years consecutively from Madurai Rajaji Govt. Hospital.
Report for ISTE Students Chapter 2011 - 2012
The installation program of ISTE Students Chapter was conducted on 27th July 2008.Every year the project exhibition is conducted by ISTE Students Chapter for III year students to develop their practical knowledge .In the year 2011-2012 the project exhibition was conducted on 17.3.2012 in the name of TECH EXPO.In 2012 our students have presented 181 projects from various departments.
Dr.K.Raja M.E.,Ph.D., Dean, Anna University of Technology Madurai, Ramanathapuram campus inaugurated the project exhibition and judged 17 projects of III MECH, out of which 3 projects were selected as best projects.
Mrs.S.N.Nisharani M.E., HOD / ECE, Fathima Michael College of Engineering, Madurai judged 66 projects of III ECE, out of which 3 projects were selected as best projects.
Mr.k.Selva Ganapathy B.E., soft ware engineer –UI tools developer, sync fusion software, Chennai judged 50 projects of IIICSE, out of which 3 projects were selected as best projects.
Mr.S.Jafar Ali Ibrahim B.Tech., Associate engineer-Biometrics service delivery, Precision Informatics (M) Pvt.Ltd judged 15 projects of III IT, out of which 3 projects were selected as best projects.
Mr.G.Prabahara Balan B.E., Specalist Project Leader / TATA ELAXI Ltd, Trivandrum judged 33 projects of III EEE, out of which 3 projects were selected as best projects.

SEMINARS AND PAPER PRESENTATIONS :
6th March 2006 10 NSS Volunteers were participated in One Day Seminar on “Technologies for Rural Development” organized by Anna University NSS Cell at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai. In this seminar two NSS Volunteers won Best Paper Presentation Award.
Infrastructure: Labs and libraries are present with lab tools and well-stocked books. Wi-Fi facility is available in labs and libraries. roomes are big and clean, library is good, canteen and food of canteen is also good
Hostel: I lives in university hostel. Both ac and non ac rooms are available. But the food of mess is only average. The behavior of Warden sir and gourds is good . They are supportive and help full

The hostel mess serves nutritious and hygienic meals to cater to the dietary requirements of students. The menu is diverse, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes. The mess staff maintains high standards of cleanliness and efficiency in meal preparation.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is good enough to the college to make their future brighter.and also the place is good to the students to learn the new things in the college. And also the premises is good .
Hostel: This hostel is absolutely superb, the staff are friendly, helpful, full of local knowledge and go the extra mile. The facilities are cleaned daily, rooms are spacious, air conditioned, large lockers for the bigger backpacks, free wireless internet in the lounge with some computers also connected to the internet, with a large screen TV (which was popular most evenings) Breakfast is good and a real bonus is a 6.30pm snack, which can range from pizza to some lovingly prepared sandwiches. The hostel is closed off everyday between 11am and 2pm for cleaning but the owners are very flexible on that rule, just inform them first if you need to get some stuff done, but anyway at that time you should be exploring the wonderful city of Florence.
