As per the past year's analysis, the expected cutoff for the BA LLB OC category is 98 - 99. The university releases the cutoff along with the merit list. Candidates who wish to get admission to the BBA LLB (Hons) course from the SC category need to obtain 92 - 93 in the qualifying exam to be eligible for admission. TNDALU cutoff is prepared on the basis of the qualifying exam only. For the BCom LLB (Hons) BC category, the expected cutoff is 98 - 99.

An analysis of the TNDALU cut-off rank trends from 2021 to 2023 reveals an increase in cut-off ranks across all categories. The cutoff for Open Category (OC) increased by over 10 points, from 88.100 in 2021 to 98.750 in 2023. For BC and BC (M) category, the cutoff increased from 84.400 in 2021 to 97.250 in 2023 and from 84.350 in 2021 to 96.500 in 2023 respectively. Similar increases are seen in all reserved categories as well, with SC (A) showing the least increase in cutoff at 12.34 points. Moreover, the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category had no vacant seats in 2022. This trend suggests a growing competitiveness for admission into TNDALU.

The TNDALU Chennai cutoff 2023 has not been released yet for admission to various law courses offered by the university. Interested candidates who are seeking admission to various offered courses such as LLB, BBA+LLB, B.Com+LLB, BA+LLB, PGD, LLM and Certificate must check out the cutoff for all the courses. Admission to all the law courses is offered on the basis of the merit of candidates in the last qualifying exam. For admission to the integrated BBA + LLB, B.Com + LLB and BA + LLB courses at TNDALU Chennai, the candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent qualifying exam with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised board. For admission to the LLB course, candidates must have passed the graduation degree with a minimum of 45% marks in the relevant stream. Candidates who have passed the LLB degree are eligible to get TNDALU Chennai admission to the LLM course.
