Overall: Teachers are highly qualified and the infrastructure and development also very good. Good environment and canteen also available. Best college for every student . If you are from outside you can also get your education by online classes with good degree.

Faculty: The faculty are the best part of this college . Everyone helps us to live comfortably. Good environment for all. U can proper study and get help from your seniors.

Overall: Overall experience was average. I have got some very good friends. Some teachers who motivate us even infrastructure was really nice. Hostel was also good.

Faculty: Faculties of this institute are really helping in nature and supportive at the same time. They are well qualified and motivates the students to do well in all the areas

Overall: Based on my personal experience in the college I would recommend it to every student who is pursuing higher studies. The college provides a lot of facilities like smart classrooms, experienced faculty, time to time alumni meets and workshops to encourage the students, cultural activities etc.

Faculty: The faculties of the college are knowledgeable and well experienced and their always ready to share their experience with us. They prepare us for the challenges that we have to face in future. They are always ready to resolve a doubts at the times of exams and placements.

Overall: All information which I have gain from unversity are of great importance,All subjects are interesting and life lessons.There is online way to pay fees.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful.They are well informative in different ways.They sedule every exam on time,and well inform us about upcoming assigmnemts or exams.

Faculty: You are provided with good faculty who knows your live classes or helps you in your subject or all the faculty covers their subject well or they pay attention to all the students.

Overall: Academics Uttarakhand Open University has its regional centres spread across 8 regions including Dehradun, Haldwani, Pauri, and others. The university offers around 97 courses in multiple streams. They are offered at the undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and, M.Phil levels across 14 streams. Some of the popular Uttarakhand Open University courses are BA, B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Ed, MBA, MCA, M.Com, PhD, Diploma, etc. the university aims to overcome the barrier of physical distance and presence. Therefore it offers its programmes in a distance-learning format as well. The faculty and the study coordinators of the UOU are extremely helpful. The curriculum is designed such that it helps students in self-learning as well as instructor-led learning. One thing that I really like about my university is that it aims to uplift the tribal women, weaker sections, and people from the most remote areas. It aims to spread quality education to all and promote independent learning. Placements The placement rate of Uttarakhand Open University is very good. It strives to place 80 to 90 per cent of its students. Each year, the final year students are given rigorous placement training. The UOU placement cell conducts seminars, workshops, training sessions, mock interviews, etc. to prepare candidates for the final interviews. As per my seniors, the highest package was around Rs 13 lakh per annum. The average package on the other hand was approximately Rs 6 lakh per annum. Many famous companies come for campus placements. Some of the popular ones are Amazon, Dell, ITC, etc. Not just this, summer and winter internship placements are also conducted. The placement cell helps in all the parameters of the UOU placements. College Life The college life that we experience at UOU is amazing. The faculty, staff members, and students, all are friendly and welcoming. Despite distance education, the university functions like one unit. Students are given respect and their academic performance is tracked from time to time. Independent learning is promoted at Uttarakhand Open University and students have control over their academic schedule to an extent. We can study at our own pace as well but are equally guided by our teachers. There is immense freedom of thought and speech at the university. Infrastructure We have access to a large library hall. The hostels are spacious and comfortable. There is 24/7 Wi-Fi available on the hostel premises. One thing that I liked the most about the UOU hostels was that they provide special heaters to students in winter. Apart from this, we have a well-equipped gym with all facilities. There is a canteen from where we can avail of meals at a low cost. A cafeteria is also present which serves multi-cuisine meals. Along with Basketball, Football, cricket, and, tennis grounds, weightlifting, trekking, mountaineering, etc. are also encouraged. The running track is long enough for a good morning run. Medical assistance is available round the clock. A convenience shop that sells daily needs items is also present within the campus, especially for the hostel students. Banking facilities are also provided and students and staff can access the ATM 24/7.

Overall: Academics The course curriculum of Uttrakhand Open University is updated to match the constantly changing industry trends and demands. Though the Uttrakhand Open University courses are good, job-oriented and practical based, the study materials provided, are surely not up to the mark. Majorly based on online teaching and training, the classroom visits are often less, thus not being able to fully take in the feel of the formal education system. Some of the facilities through which students are taught include video lectures, radio talks, electronic media, ICT tools, etc. Fees Being an open university for distance learning, the course fees are really minimal and affordable for everyone. The Uttrakhand Open University fees start from as low as Rs 3,550 and reach up to Rs 22,150 approximately, varying based on the degree level opted for. The courses here are made available for students from all sections of society, giving them an opportunity to pursue higher education. Also, the course offered at UOU often attract working individuals due to their flexible time. Placements The courses offered here are curated and taught in a way to make students ready for the job sectors. The Uttrakhand Open University placements are thus really good, especially for the students of mass communication. Many students with good marks even appeared for Government exams and secured good job roles. Most of the placements were off-campus as few on-campus placement drives are conducted. The recruitment cell is not that active, so at times information regarding the placements is not properly conveyed. Students have received salary packages ranging from 80,000 - 1.2 lakh per annum. Faculty The institute has a highly qualified faculty with four professors having 0ver 20 years of educational experience. Other members of the Uttrakhand Open University faculty include 28+ assistant professors and associates, who usually take the classes. The faculty members of the mass communication and management departments are very active. As both are job-oriented courses, they help students get accustomed to the work culture through projects, industry visits, seminars and workshops. Campus Infrastructure The campus is neat and clean, and the classrooms are good. The other facilities are average. The campus is not wifi enabled, separate lab facilities for different departments are not there, and the food is affordable but not up to the mark. Other than these, the Uttrakhand Open University campus has a library with a huge collection of books, a proper health centre, a common meditation area, and a sports complex with a basketball and table tennis court. Campus Life Since it is a distance learning college, campus life is quite mundane. The students here are mostly working individuals who enjoy the benefit of flexible class timings, thus every student’s class timings usually differ and making acquaintances becomes quite difficult. Uttrakhand Open University campus life thus is not quite exciting compared to other colleges.

Overall: According to me, Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani is one of the best open universities situated in the country. It has around 90+ study centres available across Uttrakhand. Also, all courses offered by the Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani have reasonable fees and are equipped with an updated course curriculum. The college offers a variety of programs for all the branches of education. If you are looking for a college that offers distance learning programs with a decent fee structure then you should consider this college.

Overall: The faculty of Uttarakhand Open University is excellent. The faculty members are highly qualified and well-experienced. They are quite helpful and also give us guidance on a timely basis. They are also supportive with out live projects and workshops and also help the students with their internship projects. The teaching quality is very good and the curriculum has also been designed in such a manner that it focuses on both - theoretical as well as the practical aspects.

Overall: The infrastructure of Uttarakhand Open University is very good with excellent libraries which are well-stocked with a range of books and journals. There are 11 libraries. The university has advanced labs, spacious classrooms, which are well-ventilated and well-furnished. The university also has a medical room with doctors. There is a meditation centre on the campus. The university also has a sports complex which includes a basketball court, table tennis court and also a separate gaming room. Wi-Fi facility is also available .
