Bachelor of Veterinary Science Syllabus & Subjects 2025

BVSc syllabus includes both core and elective subjects. They may differ slightly depending on the university or college. BVSc syllabus is divided into two sections: a mandatory set of courses covering all foundation areas in veterinary science and a large number of elective courses aimed at developing job-specific skills and knowledge. BVSc syllabus is divided into 10 semesters. The BVSc subjects include topics such as Animal Nutrition, Breeding, Genetics, and Pathology. 

BVSc, or Bachelor of Veterinary Science, is a five to five-and-a-half-year undergraduate degree that focuses on medical diagnoses and the treatment of illnesses in all animals. Given the quantity of animals that people care for, veterinary professionals are extremely essential. Veterinary professionals care for pets including dogs, cats, cows, and buffalos, as well as wild animals, birds, and reptiles. After graduation, students can work as a Veterinarian, Surgeon, Researcher, Research Fellow, Veterinary Consultant, or Veterinary Professor, among other things.

• About the Course:  The Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences is a five to five and half years degree programme. BVSc degree has 10 semesters, with core, elective and practical subjects included in the syllabus. 
• Enrollment : Admission into the course of Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences depends upon the marks scored by the aspirant in their 10+2,with their subjects being Physics, Biology, Chemistry and a minimum score of 50% in their final examinations. Colleges and universities also hold entrance examinations for admission into the course of Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences. 
• Course Fees : The BVSc course fee ranges from INR 10,000 to INR 1 LPA. 
• Salary Range : The salary that a graduate of the Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences receives ranges from INR 2 LPA to INR 4.5 LPA.
