Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery (DHMS) is a four-year full-time course which includes six months of mandatory internship. The main focus is on strengthening the immune system and healing of the patients. DHMS is a part of alternative holistic medicine and the students get to learn about Homeopathy medicine foundation, analysis, evaluation, medicine, surgery, etc. The diploma course has been designed to train a student and make him/her a qualified Homeopathic Physician capable of practising independently or under a hospital/governing body.

The eligibility criteria for Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery is as follows:
Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination or its equivalent qualification from any recognized board
The candidate should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as their core subjects in their qualifying examination.
In the qualifying examination, the candidates should have secured at least 50% marks. The qualifying can vary from college to college
At the time of admission, the candidate should be at least 17 years of age.
Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery admission process varies from college to college. In most of the college’s admission to DHMS course is done on the basis of merit, i.e. candidates performance in 10+2 or equivalent.
