Himachal Pradesh medical colleges are playing a dominant role in accomplishing the dreams of medical aspirants over the years. Medical aspirants of Himachal Pradesh are not required to rely on other states for pursuing medical education. Himachal Pradesh medical colleges are catering the demand for medical courses in the state, and thousands of students compete for admission in medical courses of Himachal Pradesh medical colleges. The state government has the authority to conduct the admission process for medical courses in Himachal Pradesh medical colleges. All the MBBS, BDS and PG medical seats in medical colleges of Himachal Pradesh are filled on the basis of NEET-UG/ NEET-PG entrance exam/ score. Students must have a good score in these exams to secure admission in medical colleges of Himachal Pradesh. Medical colleges located in Himachal Pradesh have approval from MCI, NCI etc. Apart from medical courses, Himachal Pradesh medical colleges also offer other courses such as AYUSH, Nursing etc. While the admissions for AYUSH courses is based on merit, Nursing admissions in Himachal Pradesh medical colleges are based on Class 12 merit and state government rules.
