Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, popularly known as MPKV Rahuri, is a state-level agricultural university established in 1969 at Rahuri, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. The university is named after the great social reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Phule. Its jurisdiction is spread across ten districts - Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Ahmednagar, Solapur, Pune, Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon and Nandurbar.
The university offers 25+ courses at UG, PG, diploma, and doctoral levels and in the fields of agricultural sciences and agricultural technology. All these MPKV Rahuri courses are approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), and the Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research (MCAER). Admissions to its UG, PG, and PhD programmes are primarily supervised by the Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research (MCAER). The university accepts MHT CET, JEE Main, NEET UG, and MAUEB CET exams for MPKV Rahuri admissions to its various UG, PG, and PhD programmes.
MPKV Rahuri has a total of 15 constituent colleges and 63 affiliated colleges under its umbrella, offering various courses on a grant and non-grant basis, respectively. The MPKV Rahuri admission process is administered by the Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research (MCAER). MPKV Rahuri UG admissions are primarily done through the Maharashtra State CET Cell with the approval of MCAER. On the other hand, MCAER administers the entire PG and PhD admission process at the university. The university accepts scores of several national and state-level entrance tests such as MHT CET, JEE Main, NEEt UG, and MAUEB CET. MAUEB CET is conducted by the MCAER for MPKV Rahuri PG/PhD admissions. Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth Cut Off
Every year, the Maharashtra State CET Cell organises the centralised MPKV Rahuri UG counselling process based on the MHT CET, JEE Main, or NEET UG scores obtained by the candidates. It also releases the MPKV Rahuri UG cut off list to provide admission to deserving candidates. On the other hand, the MPKV Rahuri PG selection process is conducted by the MCEAR based on MAUEB CET scores. It also publishes the MPKV Rahuri PG merit lists for the final admission of successful candidates. MCEAR is also the responsible authority for conducting the MPKV PhD selection process based on the MAUEB CET scores obtained by the applicants.
