Karnataka BSc Agriculture Admission 2025: Latest Updates

  • April 25, 2025 (11:50 AM): If you have scored between 95% and 99% in 2nd PUC and obtained 100 marks in the KCET 2025 exam, then you can find out your estimated rank for BSc Agriculture admission by visiting KCET Expected Rank 2025 LIVE Updates .

The KCET 2025 exam on Day 1 (April 16) was conducted successfully. You can find the detailed KCET 2025 paper analysis and student reactions on our exam page. To understand whether you qualify for Karnataka BSc Agriculture admission 2025 based on the Shift 1 and 2 (Physics and Chemistry) question papers, you should check the exam analysis to calculate your expected marks before the declaration of final results. For the Agriculture stream, the analysis has been updated below.

KCET Physics Paper Analysis: Day 1 - Shift 1

The KCET Agriculture exam 2025 Physics paper for Day 1 was conducted between 10:30 AM and 11:50 AM for Shift 1. The paper set comprised a total of 60 questions, each carrying one mark. While there was no negative marking scheme followed for the exam, test takers were required to answer as many correct questions as they could within 80 minutes of the exam duration.

Similar to the previous year's analysis, the Physics question paper for the KCET Agriculture exam 2025 was of moderate level difficulty. Most Agriculture-based questions asked were NCERT-based.

The questions focused on the Agriculture stream were mostly based on chapter-wise high-weightage conceptual topics such as Electrostatics, Modern Physics, Thermodynamics, and Mechanics. Additionally, a few questions were directly asked from the NCERT theory, others required critical thinking. In general, the overall paper set was quite lengthy, as the questions were formula or derivation-based.

KCET Chemistry Paper Analysis: Day 1 - Shift 2

The KCET Agriculture exam 2025 Chemistry paper for Day 1 was administered offline between 2:30 PM and 3:50 PM for Shift 2 at various state-level testing centres. The paper set included 60 questions for a total of 60 marks, i.e., each question was worth one mark. The examination did not contain a negative marking system, thus, students could mark as many possible right responses as they could while attempting the test.

Compared to last year's analysis, the Chemistry question paper for the KCET Agriculture exam 2025 was a bit more challenging this year, i.e., moderate-level difficulty. Most Agriculture-based questions asked were directly from the 2nd PUC syllabus. In addition, a few questions were repeated from the official previous year’s papers with slight changes.

The questions posed from the Agriculture stream were easy but time-consuming and had a balanced distribution of major sections like Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Chemical Kinetics, and Thermodynamics. The Agri-based questions not just evaluated a student's memory-based concepts but also their ability to solve complex numerical problems. The key to exam success was a test taker's solid basic and conceptual understanding and analytical thinking. In general, the overall paper set was quite lengthy as well as tricky, but not too difficult to solve for those who have practised enough timed mock tests.
