UP Scholarships 2024: How to Apply, Eligibility, Last Date

UP scholarships are the various scholarship programmes sponsored by the Uttar Pradesh (UP) government. The Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department is responsible for providing UP Scholarships 2024 to all students enrolled in classes 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th in both government and private schools. These scholarships are designed to provide financial assistance to students belonging to economically weaker sections of society to help them pursue their education without being constrained by their financial situation. Students at various educational levels, such as secondary, higher secondary, and higher education, are eligible for the scholarships.

Pre-matric UP scholarships are meant for students studying in classes 9 and 10. It aims to encourage students to continue their education and improve the literacy rate by providing financial assistance. On the other hand, post-matric UP scholarships are designed for students studying at the post-secondary and higher education levels, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. It offers financial aid to pay for tuition, books, and other expenses related to education across a range of subject areas.

The UP Scholarships application forms for both Pre Matric & Post Matric students for the academic year 2024-25 are available to all caste groups, including General, OBC, SC, and ST. When the status link is activated, applicants can check the status of their application on the official web portal. To check the status of the scholarship each time, applicants will need their User ID and password from the time of application.

UP Scholarships: How to Apply

Students eligible to apply for the UP scholarships 2024 can apply on the official website through online mode. Candidates must apply for the UP pre-matric and post-matric scholarships following the steps mentioned below.

Visit the official website @scholarship.up.gov.in. Click on the link below to start the online registration process.

In order to register for a fresh scholarship, go to the ‘Menu’ option and click on the link that says ‘Student’. Fresh registration applies to new candidates who have taken admission in 2024 in class 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th & other Dashmottar courses such as UG/ PG/Diploma/Certificates courses. If already registered, you may log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email Id.
Click on the relevant link to apply and enter the details required to register for the UP scholarship.
Next, create an appropriate password and submit the application form.
Finally, note down your application number generated on the screen.

UP Scholarship 2024 Login

After the registration process has been completed, go to the homepage of the official website.

Click on ‘UP Scholarship 2024 Login’.
Next, choose the type of fresh scholarship you want to avail of and click on the relevant link.
Enter your registration number, your date of birth and finally your password.
Enter the Captcha and complete the login process.

After completing the registration process, go to the UP Scholarship Application Form link and provide the following details to fill out the application form:

Uploading of Photo for UP Scholarship 2024

After filling out the application form, it is crucial for the students to logout and re-login in order to upload their passport-size photographs.
The size of the photograph should not exceed 20 kb and it must be in JPEG/JPG format.
After this, take a printout of the UP Scholarship application form for future reference.

Submission of UP Scholarship 2024 Form at School/College

Attach your documents along with the printed application form.
After this, submit this complete UP Scholarship 2024 application form to the concerned authority of the respective school/college.
The college authorities will examine the application form and proceed further.
