Candidates eligible to pursue this scholarship can receive financial assistance of up to INR 20 Lakh for 2 years to take up higher education abroad.
The aim of this scholarship is to assist candidates of Karnataka belonging to the SC/ ST category to take up their Masters and PhD studies abroad.This scholarship is operative under the Social Welfare Department of the Government of Karnataka with the motive of providing up to 100% financial assistance to the eligible candidates for their studies abroad.
The scholarship is offered by the Department of Backward Classes Welfare, Government of Karnataka for candidates willing to pursue a full-time PhD in the areas of seminars, language, sociology, science and technology, agriculture and related sciences, technical and medical sciences, commerce and management. Candidates eligible for this scholarship can get an allowance of INR 5,000 per month.
The Minority Welfare Department, Directorate of Minorities, Government of Karnataka provides this scholarship to assist the minority community candidates.
