List of State Scholarships in India 2024

Digital Gujarat Scholarship is a list of 34 Scholarships offered by Govt of India and hosted on the Gujarat Scholarship Portal. All students from class 1 to 12, those who are pursuing undergraduate courses, postgraduate programmes and doctoral degrees in any stream can apply for these scholarships irrespective of their caste or category.

The SSP scholarship is a state-funded programme open to residents of Karnataka pursing class I to post-doctoral studies. Different SSP scholarship programmes are offered to students pursuing education at the pre-matric and post-matric levels by a number of subsidiary departments under the state government.  

Aikyashree scholarship aims to ease financial burden of eligible and proficient students of West Bengal studying at high school or college levels. It is an important scholarship program administered by the West Bengal Minority Development and Finance Corporation, abbreviated as WBMDFC. 

For SC/ST students from the state of Karnataka who wish to pursue higher studies without bearing the financial burden, the Prize Money Scholarship offered by Karnataka govt will help them realize their dream of completing higher education. 

Prerana scholarship is a post-matric scholarship portal to provide financial assistance to economically weaker students of the state. It has been implemented by the ST & SC Development and Minority & Other Backward Classes Welfare Department, Odisha govt.

Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship (PSMTS) is an initiative of Govt of Odisha to provide financial assistance to meritorious students with proficiency in Mathematics. Applications are invited from General, ST, SC, OBC/SEBC, and EBC students currently enrolled in Classes 11 and 12 in Odia medium-recognized institutions (affiliated to CHSE) across the state.

With the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, the students of West Bengal are given a golden opportunity to continue with their post-matric education by eliminating any sort of financial constraints. Apart from sharing the burden of college fees, tuition fees, or other expenses, the students enrolled in the program are offered assistance to start their career journey through workshops and seminars.

Punjab government offers the Dr Ambedkar scholarship to financially support students belonging to the SC/OBC categories and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The scholarship is available to students who have passed their class X exams and it also supports students pursuing postdoctoral studies.

Run by the Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal, Oasis scholarship is a one-stop online scholarship portal to financially support students belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories. The portal features scholarships both at pre-matric and post-matric levels for students who are residents of West Bengal. 

MahaDBT portal is an initiative of the Government of Maharashtra. It hosts around 45 scholarships for domiciled students in Maharashtra. The main objective of the portal is to ensure effective management of scholarship applications including disbursement to the beneficiaries within the state.

The Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojana (MSYS) scholarship scheme is meant to promote higher education among students of the state of Gujarat. It is beneficial to students who come from low-income households and are residents of the state.

The Nabanna Scholarship Scheme is an initiative of the Government of West Bengal. It is aimed at financially supporting meritorious students who have passed Class 10, Class 12, or any University Examination (UG/PG) successfully. Eligible students who are permanent residents of West Bengal can avail this scholarship to pursue higher education without any financial constraints.

Jnanabhumi Scholarship portal is an initiative by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to offer monetary assistance to students who are residents of the state and belong to SC, ST, BC, Minorities, Kapu, EBC, or differently-abled communities.
