Overall: As you go through this; you will find out why,I rated 2/10.Let's start with the Fees structure the first year fees for the open general category in my time was approximately 1,34,000 and soon you will find out why this college is not worth it.So when I was in F.E. they told us (open/general category) to pay 1,34,000 while the actual fees according to government fees regulating authority was far less(approximately 57,000 in total) and they told us this in second year. I don't know what kind of scam was that not many students who paid the full fees knew this as we paid 0 fees in second year and many of the students were happy with that. This College comes under Politician "Sunil Rane".Talking about he Admission process the faculty member were helpful and it quite easy for me to get all the process done but at the time of submitting the admission documents the document department were so irresponsible that they actually misplaced many students original documents. This never happened with me but it was a case for many of my friend and they also misplaced some of the original documents.Moving towards the third part College Introduction, the introduction was quite simple a single three hour introduction where they showed a short college campus tour film, the college principal introduce himself gave a small speech of 15 min, the faculty members introduce themselfs and that's it.The lectures were initially used to conduct on time, as the time flies forget the student but also the faculty members were absent for 3-4 days. Talking about the exam preparation, specifically if you are taking admission in this college then be very careful as some of the faculty members don't even know their very own subject. While preparing for semesters don't rely on them.In my own batch our maths's teacher used to say that semesters are as easy as the internal Assessments(they used to make internal assessments very easy and faculty follows some old books solving some easy sums in class which will most probably won't be coming in your semesters) out of 120 students 87 had a Kt in maths all thanks to that teacher.
Placement: To be transparent, if you asked any faculty about the companies that came for the placement all they will tell you "Companies mostly comes in 3rd year of college,I don't know the companies that come for the placement but they are good".The highest package mentioned on the website is wrong.
Infrastructure: Infrasturcture is good in the ground floor like they have AC in washroom which remains close most of the time. It's only open fully during the time of events and admission process.Marketing at it's peak. While as you go to the other floors boys washroom starts to stink and they don't have AC or fans. For Girls it's a bit hygiene(my classmate girls told me). There's a swimming pool not meant for swimming only for marketing purpose. There's a gym not meant for exercising only for holding events and mostly used by some specific individuals (don't know what is that special requirement and usually those are some girls only; having a male gym trainer).
Faculty: The College is known for students getting Kt's you might think of it as it totally depends on the students performance but what if the environment is not appropriate. The faculty does support students in their studies by conducting some lectures about semester preparation only after getting a warning form the HOD.Yes,it's true they only focus on getting students through semesters and not explaining the subject (which they still fail to get).Seriously, the libraries don't even have appropriate subject textbooks it seems like they have fill it with 2nd Hand irrelevant books purchased at half prices when I asked librarian about a specific book which was mentioned in the mumbai university subject prefered book whicch wasn't present in the library they had told me to tell your respective faculty member to write me an application along with the name of the books to order she told me "Beta you can use pdf's which you can get online and there are some available in the library"(irrelevant books).
Overall: Atharva College of Engineering offers a diverse academic environment with dedicated faculty, but could improve infrastructure for enhanced learning experience also it has well created classroom and study is a breathing thing here .
Placement: To be honest I must say placement are pretty average here and it's hard to get placed in good firm untill and unless you are good in coding and practical skills so improve your soft skills as well as your domain skills
Infrastructure: If we talk about its infrastructure the one thing that makes me feel good is toilets they are way more cleaner than other colleges and also the corridors it especially has three buildings named as phase 1, phase 2 and phase 3. Phase 3 is for management studies.
Faculty: Faculties are good and always have a helping hand towards students they guide us for the better future all our faculties are good and also u can engage in research work with them
Hostel: Their is no hostel facility campus is small but nearby u can find hostels if u search for it also their are rentals so u can contact apart from hostel traveling is not hard it hardly takes 15 from Malad station to reach College .
