JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Exam : The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to release the JEE Main Session 2 application form for registrations on February 1, 2025. Interested candidates can apply for the JEE Main Session 2 exam on the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE main session 2 application form last date is February 24, 2025.

Candidates who are willing to appear for the NTA JEE Mains session 2 exam are advised to go through the JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2025 to appear for the session 2 exam. The minimum eligibility criteria to appear for the JEE Main Session 2 exam 2025 is to hold 10+2 degree in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. On the other hand, the duration of the JEE Main 2025 session 2 will be three hours and candidates have to appear for 75 questions in Paper 1, 77 questions in Paper 2A, and 100 questions in Paper 2B. The marks allocated for Paper 1 are 300 and 400 for Paper 2. As per the JEE Main 2025 marking scheme, candidates are awarded 4 marks for each correct answer and one mark is deducted for each wrong answer.

JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Application Form

Candidates can fill out the JEE Main registration form on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, January 31, 2025, to February 24, 2025. Candidates will be allowed to fill out the application form for Session 2. The application portal will be open till First Week of February 2025. The registration process is as follows:

Steps Details

Step 1

Visit the official website – www.jeemain.nta.nic.in and click on the application form link on the homepage

Step 2

Click on ‘New Registration’. Read the instructions carefully and click on ‘Proceed.’.

Step 3

Fill in all the personal detail details, such as Name, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Gender, Category, Exam Centre Preference (can choose 4 cities) and Education details.

Step 4

Upload the scanned image of the Photograph and Signature

Step 5

Pay the application fee by using a credit or debit card or an internet banking facility

Step 6

Take the printout of the application form confirmation page

Note: Candidates applying for multiple sessions must note that a separate exam fee has to be paid for each session.

JEE Main Session 2 Eligibility Criteria 2025

The minimum JEE Main eligibility criteria 2025 is to qualify 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized educational board. Besides, candidates who do not qualify for the JEE Mains January Session can apply for the Session 2 exam. The JEE Main exam is conducted multiple times a year, and you have the opportunity to improve your score in subsequent sessions. Each session is considered a separate examination, and you are allowed to appear for any or all of the sessions.

JEE Main Session 2 Exam Pattern 2025

JEE Main 2025 exam pattern is similar across all phases. The Paper 1 exam will have a total number of 90 questions, and the test-takers will have to answer 75 questions. The number of Numerical Value Questions has been increased from 5 to 10 in each subject. On the other hand, the JEE Main Paper 2 has a total of 82 questions (30 in Mathematics, 50 in Aptitude, and 2 in Drawing) for a total of 400 marks. Negative marking is applicable only for the Mathematics and Aptitude sections.

JEE Main 2025 Admit Card Session 2

JEE Main admit card 2025 session 2 will be released in online mode on the First Week of April 2025 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can download their JEE Main Hall Ticket using their application number and password. The admit card comprises the exam centre's name & address. It is important to carry the J EE Main 2025 Admit Card along with the ID proof here.

JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Result

NTA will release the JEE Main 2025 session 2 result on April 25, 2025, in online mode. Candidates can download the JEE Main Result 2025 online at jeemain.nta.ac.in. To see the JEE Mains result 2025, candidates must use their JEE login credentials, which include their application number and date of birth. Students will discover information such as their name, scores, roll number, and position on the JEE test result 2025.  The top 2,50,000 JEE Main qualifiers will be eligible to take the JEE Advanced test. The list of JEE Main toppers will be announced alongside the JEE Main 2025 result. Along with the JEE Main session 2 results, the JEE Main cutoff marks will also be released. Applicants who will secure a name in the JEE Main merit list 2025 will be able to take part in the counselling process.

JEE Main 2025 Counselling

JoSAA will conduct JEE Main 2025 counselling online for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTI. The JEE Main counselling 2025 will start from June 10, 2025. Candidates who will pass in the JEE Main 2025 exam will be able to take part in the counselling process. JEE Main counselling process 2025 consists of many processes, including registration, option filling, choice locking, seat assignment, and payment of a fee. JoSAA counselling will be conducted in six rounds, and the full procedure normally takes more than 40-50 days. Notably, if seats remain unfilled after the sixth round, they are filled through CSAB counselling, which is administered by the Central Seat Allocation Board.
