The following entrance exams are accepted by the BNM Institute of Technology (BNMIT) for admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes:

Undergraduate: KCET or COMEDK UGET

Postgraduate: CAT/XAT/MAT/PGCET (for MBA) or GATE/KPGCET (for M.Tech). 

For admission to engineering and other professional courses in Karnataka, the Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK UGET) administers a common entrance exam. The Karnataka Examination Authority administers the KCET, or Karnataka Common Entrance Test, for admission to engineering and other professional programmes in Karnataka. The institute does not accepts KMAT entrance exam for admission to the UG courses."
