I am not quite aware of B.Com LLB available in the Khalsa College of Law, Amritsar but as per my knowledge, I must say that the LPU caters to the all-round development of its students and nurtures it with care to boost the career to a pinnacle of ultimate success which might be the envy of many. 2.LPU School of Law, approved by Bar Council of India was established with a view to cater to the requirements of the legal profession. Students from across the globe are being groomed here for a bright professional career by providing quality education giving equal importance to the theory as well as practical approach to hone the professional skills of advocacy. The School takes pride in its alumni who have made their mark as judicial officers, legal practitioners and corporate advisors and civil servants. 3.LPU offers BA LLB, B.com LLB, BBA LLB, LLM. 4.The Curriculum bench-marked against premier law schools. Practical training with Lawyers as part of the curriculum. Regular interactions with eminent Jurists and well known Academicians in the field of law is done .Case studies, Moot Courts, Seminars, Workshops and Mock Trials (Civil and Criminal).are conducted. Mock trials (Civil and Criminal) are being conducted in the similar manner as that of court proceedings. Guest lectures by the industrial experts (senior counsels or partners of reputed law firms) enlightens. 5.Papers are designed on CBCS (Choice based Credit System) where in a student will learn what he wants. Internships of students with Judicial Officers, NGOs and Legal Practitioners. Exposure through field Visits to Courts, State Commissions, NGOs, etc. is undertaken. 6. Extensive scholarships are awarded including covid scholarship. 7. Students are provided 20 week internships in case of five year program and 12 weeks internships in case of 3 years program. 8. International students are studying Law in LPU because the basic laws are UK based and are same all over. Commonwealth countries too, follow the same penal code all over the world 7.LPU students intern in reputed law firms and under High Court judges of different states. Managing Partner, Key Claws Pvt Ltd Firm MS Srivastava certified many students. Special career counseling led by industry experts and members of academia is held for students who register for placements . 8. Achievements: In the AIU Patiala Moot Competition, LPU emerged as the winner. Students have received Client Counseling prizes. Students work with DLSA as volunteers for RT filing .Students completed their internship with Jalandhar Police Commissionerate and learnt vital aspects of the handling of sensitive cases by police. Policing posits host of challenges to the police personnel who have to strike a balance between competing values of individual freedom and establishment of peace. salience of weapon handling, an undertaking of patrolling and surveillance tasks, resolving of general law and order issues by police as part of the duty are taught to students.. Students trained under Mr Gautam Singhal (ADCP, Jalandhar, Punjab Police) Students interned in reputed law firms and under High Court judges of different states.
